  • JohnnyoftheWell woah, that is a development! which one!? the new one is nice and lovely but probably not the best starting point - I'd go for any of their landmarks and then maybe throw it on next (Nighttime or Planet are both nice starters, but they're all gooood)

  • StormChaser Glad you liked the La Femme joint, can't see your blurb nowhere on the album thread tho!
    February 2 05:56 PM
  • Avagantamos the section about 18 minutes into track 11 was pretty good though
    January 28 04:15 AM
  • Avagantamos just checked out those tracks you recommended. there were some pretty neat textures and sounds, but overall I didn't find them to be arranged in a very interesting way. not quite an enjoyable listening experience for me, but I appreciate the suggestion!
    January 28 04:00 AM
  • dedex Oi nice! Cool you got something out of this messy-slash-lovely album woooo
    January 20 12:46 PM
  • DavidYowi I gave DB, Ygg Huur, and YPM a listen today. I need to relisten to them but I easily like YPM the best out of the three. From what I've listened to from this band, the ambient side of Krallice is the part of them I like the most.
    January 19 03:13 AM
  • JohnnyoftheWell heh, you're welcome - glad you got something out of it. am hoping to find myself with enough free time to do a proper haino marathon someday...
    January 16 02:17 PM
  • Havey ahem i hope you're not about to cheat and not stick with the plan!
    January 8 03:02 PM

  • Havey oh Savall is one of the goats 100%, for covering both rare/esoteric repertoire and always having refreshing takes on the canon
    January 3 05:19 PM
  • Havey **** i forgot ampersands cut off comments... yeah there's possibly a reason why Telemann never caught my interest, but some great musicians have been occupied with his music, so i can't just write him off. i suppose his sets of fantasias for various instruments without accompaniment-including flute!-must be more interesting than the table music
    January 3 04:14 PM
  • Havey i see some great groups have recorded the fantazias, so i might get sent on a Purcell journey. the one by voix humaines may be interesting too, they're an imaginative group i think.
    January 3 04:04 PM
  • Havey don't think i have! never been a big Purcell admirer. a project of mine though is trying to find something to love in every major composer, and Purcell is still up in the air (pun intended), as is Telemann
    January 3 02:51 PM
  • Havey did you try slsk? otherwise you have to wait til monday for an upload from me
    January 1 03:16 PM

  • GhandhiLion Yes it's quite the trip! Maybe it's magma, maybe Stravinsky :]
    October 20 04:09 PM
  • Koris But yeah, right now, I'm studying music composition. I really want to compose for films and video games in the future, especially for video games since they influenced me more.
    October 20 10:15 AM
  • Koris Hey, sorry I forgot to reply back but thank you for the feedback on my piece! I'm already working on the next piece, and it's gonna be entirely a cappella as an experiment :]

  • Dewinged Yeah man, we usually pull from amazon or bandcamp, since it also has to be 300x300 px minimum, but I haven't found any source yet. I'll keep an eye, maybe we get smth as we get close to friday.
    October 19 08:07 AM
  • Dewinged tx Cotton! Unfortunately we can't pull artwork from Instagram posts, and there's also no info on which label is releasing it. If you come across any other trustful source, lemme know!

    October 15 02:43 PM
  • Koris YES! And I've been composing a bunch of soundtrack-esque stuff recently... mostly inspired by video game soundtracks like Final Fantasy and Chrono Trigger, but yeah. I've been more productive this year than ever before :]
    October 15 12:16 PM
  • Hyperion1001 he went a much different direction than OA but hes such a good producer that he can make really any genre work.

  • JohnnyoftheWell wow i did not reply i am a bad person - but yh, i think i agree re. alora? feels like a lovely spacious new(ish) twist on familiar toby driverisms, but idk how 'deep' any of those ideas go. glad those breaks got you back in one piece paha

    August 31 01:52 PM
  • Havey thanks for pointing me to the Lockwood, which seems like a must-hear. i know supersedure--when you said the best stuff wasn't listed i took it to mean not in the db (that album is in the db twice even), so i expected more of a hidden gem! but if you meant not listed among my ratings, fair
    August 27 01:01 PM
  • Havey i may be partial to La Casa's water/wind compositions since water and wind are two of the top 5 things to listen to ever (the other three being birds, frogs, and 18th century counterpoint) but you should tell me what you think their 'best work' is so that i can listen to it anyway
