  • Ecnalzen Checking Naked Empire: I like it! Thanks for mentioning them. Maybe the band Dropping Daylight could do something for you. Their album Brace Yourself is a goodun and I could say it has a similar style, especially with the way piano is used

  • Ecnalzen I have not, but I will soon. Mebbe over the weekend and I will see if anything rings a bell

  • Ecnalzen Sometimes, the accidental ones are the best finds

  • Ecnalzen Not familiar with them either. Where you coming across this stuff at?

  • Ecnalzen Never heard of them, but I am seeing a lot of Thrice comparisons, so I could be into it

  • Ecnalzen Sights and Sounds - Monolith is another possibility. I haven't listened to their most recent album yet, but I really enjoy that one, and he doesn't really scream at all. Mostly just puts some grit on his singing every so often

  • Ecnalzen Wovenwar's first album might tickle that fancy. It's almost exclusively clean vocals, and I really like his singing, except for maybe one song. Both Sent By Ravens albums could also work in that regard. The harsh vocals aren't used a ton and are mostly reserved for background and/or breakdown-ish bridges. He is an excellent clean singer, too

  • Ecnalzen I have read Cave In took inspiration from both Failure and Hum for their space rock sound. Haven't fully checked either myself, but they both have high marks on here and have been on my to listen list

  • Ecnalzen Hrmmm... Having trouble find something that might sound like that I haven't already thrown your way from the lists I took part in. How about Cog - New Normal/Sharing Space? I don't know if they are quite as technical as the two you mentioned, but I think they have that kinda proggy sound with a bit of a heavier edge to it. The vox are interesting and he writes some pre good hooks. I will look thru my stuff again and see if anything else jumps out

  • Ecnalzen Yeppers. When I say the main page, I mean the sputnik home page, like where the featured reviews and news articles and whatnot are, not your profile page, if that helps and/or was confusingly worded the first time

  • Ecnalzen The way it shows shows shoutbox notifications to me is on the main page in the box where it says MY PROFILE logout, and then underneath the username and profile picture. It's def not super noticeable until after you have seen it the first time. It goes away after going to your profile and/or a reload of the main page, I think. This site is pretty archaic and I don't think the owner has any interest in updating/fixing it much. There is just something about it that keeps bringing me back tho, ha

  • Ecnalzen I haven't forgotten about you! I was at a loss for a bit, tho, ha. This is something mewithoutyou-ish in the vocals, with the post rocky/post hardcore vibe, if you would be interested in that.
