  • Divaman Hi Sharkattack. Hope you're doing well. I was wondering if you have any interest in contributing a track for November's Song of the Day list? (https://www.sputnikmusic.com/list.php?listid=189442). This month's theme is "gifts". We're looking for people to contribute a song that they like that they first learned about thanks to someone here on Sputnik.

  • Bedex Hey man, do you happen to know if the tracks on Enjoy Eternal Bliss EP are the same as on the LP, or are they different versions (whether in terms of composition or just prod)? Saw you rated it and was wondering

    May 19 09:58 PM
  • joesmoe4000 glad you enjoy the legend that is RJ!
    May 13 06:09 PM
  • Divaman Yeah, I don't rank too many albums below 2 because I can usually tell ahead of time which albums I'm going to at least like a little. And I don't rate many albums higher than 4 unless they've had a lot of time to grow on me.
    May 12 10:28 PM
  • Divaman and if you want to see me reviewing a "5", this is the only one I've written so far (because it's the only "5" on my list that wasn't previously reviewed, here it is. This was the second review I ever wrote on Sputnik:https://www.sputnikmusic.com/review/71778/The-Good-Rats-Tasty/Thanks much for the compliments. Having a bad week right now, so your kind words are especially appreciated.
    May 12 06:37 PM
  • Divaman If you look at my ratings list, though, I don't rate a whole lot of 5's or 1's. (And the ones I have rated that high or low mostly already have reviews.) Here's the closest I've come so far:https://www.sputnikmusic.com/review/72342/Dexys-Midnight-Runners-Let-the-Record-Show/
    May 12 02:45 PM
  • Drifter That's my boy
    May 6 05:31 AM
  • Drifter Raise that Daz rating yo
    May 6 05:21 AM
  • Drifter Thanks for the reminder. There's too much music man.
    May 3 11:45 PM
  • rabidfish cool, glad you digged. You definitly should come back to it and you should check more electronic music, as well. I think it's the heavy gospel influence both screamadelica and exile on main st. share that draws most comparisons. I do think the RS were a main influence, tho.
    April 25 11:42 AM
  • Drifter Nice! I made the mistake of recing that to people with a mob mentality so the average dropped hard. Has so much charm though. I love that album. His voice and the beats are perfect.
    April 25 04:06 AM
  • Drifter Hard rip. Check People Without Shoes' album Thoughts of an Optimist and The Loyalists' Moodswing (or don't idrc)
    April 23 11:44 PM
  • Drifter What G-Funk albums outside of my list have you heard? Also don't feel like you need to check all my recs if you aren't digging any of them much
    April 23 04:27 PM
  • rabidfish chek primal scream's screamadelica if you dig exile on Main st.
    April 23 02:35 AM
  • Drifter I'll be watching
    April 23 12:02 AM
  • Drifter As for G-Funk, check: Rappin' 4-Tay's Off Parole, Big Syke's Be Yo Self, E-40's In A Major Way, Daz Dillinger's Tha Dogg Pound Gangsta LP, and Master P's The Ghettos Tryin' To Kill Me (make sure it's the original 1994 version and NOT the rereleased 1997 version). Report back when you are done and I will provide more lol
    April 22 11:57 PM
  • Drifter Those 3 are in my "Elite Class" of emo albums which is only 4 along with Brand New's TDAG.
    April 22 11:51 PM
  • Drifter You need some ratings bro I need to see yours! Bon Iver is most definitely a 5. As for Drake and Lil Wayne, they just rule. C3 is pop rap perfection and I get really nostalgic over it and Drake can go hard and sing and make me feel and I do get nostalgic over him but they were already 5s before. Love that you agree with Domestica though. That's an eternal top 10 album for me. Had been for 3 years at least. If you like it check Nosferatu D2's sole album and Kolya's sole album/self titled.
