  • DeputyExorcist Hey,I would start with any of the three from the 70s. The debut, Shakti with John Mclaughlin, is live, and has one 20 minute track and one 30 minute track. The playing is really uptempo, and very similar to traditional Indian music- raga, improvised based.A Handful of Beauty has shorter songs, with more of an emphasis on just that- songs. It is also very lyrical and melodic. The next one, Natural Beauty, continues in this same vein, but is more happy in mood.
