Review Summary: An apocalyptic masterpiece.

Is religion dead?
Does God have a voice?
Do you think the end of the world is coming?

F#A#∞ is the debut and genre defining album on Godspeed's catalog, having a post-apocalyptic world as the main concept.

Putting that theme into action, the most common association is connecting it with some kind of global catastrophe, like a zombie apocalypse or an impact of a meteor. Godspeed picks the theme and leaves it open to interpretation. They present us a catastrophe, but we never know how and when it happened. We only know we are living it.

From eerie to chilling melancholic sounds, F#A#∞ evokes an atmosphere that will literally send chills down your spine. Godspeed creates a horror movie only with field recordings, samples and abstract sound design.

This album is a epic work of art. It left me speechless the first time I heard it, and keeps me without any words with all the subsequent listens. Flowing through the three tracks (having the CD version in mind), with a feel of dread, paranoia and hope.

And Godspeed's message is precisely that. Under this claustrophobic atmosphere, there is hope. When we feel that everything is falling into a downward spiral, remember that there is a glimpse of hope present into the human being that won't let him down.
