Review Summary: God has come in musical form.
Some things are beyond our mortal comprehension. What is the meaning of life? Does god exist? But I think the most important question that we should all ask in front of the mirror every morning is this: why is Dedicated to Chaos so damn perfect? This question has haunted my very soul since the album’s inception; I shudder before its beauty, forgetting to even breathe. Dedicated to Chaos is actually dedicated to making my heart beat.
This album is a classic rock album released in 2011, and when I say classic I really mean masterpiece - angels will cry and lightning will fall from the sky when you listen in. The singing for example, I don’t know how he sings so perfectly. His voice is angelic, hitting notes with a bloodthirsty vengeance. But that’s on top of the nastiest riffs ever invented and drum beats that are so consistently god tier it makes Neal Peart look like he enjoys farting in cookie jars. The bass is also so loud I swear when I wasn’t looking the nearby city was levelled. Basically, the whole album rocks hard and shreds more than Black Sabbath. I have no idea how the guitarist does such complex, nuanced patterns - it grooves.
What an inspirational album! The way Queensryche indulge in exotic Indian world music is so authentically tasty it makes The Tea Party sound like they fell off their camel. And let’s not forget the super hot lyrics about the band wanting sex, but also going through a break up or something - it’s so relatable, horny, and exceedingly original that it’s impossible to compete with. I honestly don’t understand how anyone could be this genius. It’s the perfect lyrics for the perfect album.
I recommend this album because it is the definition of gorgeous music. The melodies are so memorable that I sing the songs everywhere I roam, and that includes at the mall, and the girls stare at me because of my epic music. Lush waves of warm, splendid oceans envelop you when you listen to this, and you will bathe in the realization that no better albums exist. The catchiest songs are definitely in here, and the drummer’s extremely unique and pummeling patterns are simply unbeatable. There may never be better music than this.
