Review Summary: 80% of pure experiences come from just 20% of artists
As soon as I discovered Hiemal I realized I was doing too many things and what I was doing so often wasn’t what I should be doing. With "Arctic Gates" I began to reflect on what were the things that could give me the greatest benefit and what was more satisfying to me. If Hiemal wanted to achieve objectives and be productive, they succeeded with "Arctic Gates".
On this album, Hiemal managed to provide foresight, structure, systems, planning, intelligence and a sincere purpose, which they have been able to apply consistently through all their projects. Hiemal has shown that simple and well-focused oppressions and projects are the ones that yield the greatest results and satisfaction, at least in my opinion.
This album made me realize the fundamental need to know my heart enough to be able to trust my character, something that few albums would achieve in the future. In addition to this, Hiemal has a shared history with several artists long enough to show us their experience.
Due to the above, I believe we can have faith that Hiemal is competent enough to lend him due and deserved attention.
To be a good artist, it is necessary for the artist to know himself; his strong areas and his weak areas and I believe that Hiemal has proven to have this knowledge and know how to express in songs like "Fishermen in Turnagain Arm" and "Red Foam from Beaufort Sea".
Overall, a pure experience.
