Review Summary: "We'll pick up all the pieces, and keep this between me and you..."
Have you ever listened to something that you listen to once, and then it sticks with you. And you listen to it more and more until it becomes standard in your day to day life? I don't know much about Kitty, this is my first exposure to her. But, there's just a high level of polish in the instrumental work throughout all of Miami Garden Club, and infectious and well-written hooks that blend together seamlessly. It's a hell of a first impression.
Everything here works, from the passionate verses and hook on 'Affectionate', to the guitar solo midway through 'Asari Love Song'. The swagger on the banger 'Mass Text Booty Call' to the DVS feature on 'Brush Me Off'. Not a single low point, the beats mesmerize with ease and the hooks, well, hook you in. Every song blends together, not in a negative way, but in a way that makes the overall experience that much more rewarding and possibly even addictive.
"I'll write myself a letter, hope I get better,"
"I'll do anything to please the crowd..."
