I was visiting the website and looking over my favorite bands and some of other people's ratings for them. I type in a search for The Hush Sound and there is no result. Very shocked I made this review so that more people will find about a very talented band.

The band comes from the Decaydance label which is headed by the bassist of Fall Out Boy, Pete Wentz. Although they come from a label with many standard pop punk bands like The Academy is..., October Fall, Paramore, and Panic! At The Disco. This band is very different.

The Album begins with the song City Traffic Puzzle. My second favorite song of the album. The song brilliantly uses the piano as its driving force. The song gradually speeds up and is a very entertaining change.

Weeping Willow is the next song... usually i don't like female vocalists but her voice is pure and works well with the music they play. The song is beautifully written and the piano, lyrics, and drums work well together topped of with her voice.

Crawling Towards the Sun is the song some of you might be familiar with which is upbeat and has that Hellogoodbye feel. It is still a good catchy song.

The Artist my favorite song on the album. It is an acoustic and The Hush Sound delivers the goods. Greta the female vocalist and pianist takes the lead in this song. The song begins with the lyrics, "I know that your an artist your the hardes ones to deal with, everything that you conceal is revealed on you canvas you find all of your ugly meanings in things ive found beautiful"
The song goes on with its emotionally driven lyrics.

The album continues with songs like Momentum and Hourglass which are very well done.

As you continue through the album you realize the artistic talent of the band and how the cleverly use different tempos. Theyre is something for everyone on this album. Upbeat and happy songs, reflective emoish songs, songs on relationships, and metaphorical songs that you really have to think about to understand. I encourage everyone to get this album. Theyre next album comes out tommorow June 6,2006 Like Vines. If you buy this album we quickly realize what I am talking about.

Reccomended Songs
The Artist
City Traffic Puzzle
Crawling Towards The Sun

This is my first album review so please feel free to comment on anything i should improve on.
Thanks

This is good. "Echo" and "Eileen" are really the only tracks that I think are really good, though.

I agree that those are very good songs ..but i feel that the arist shows more of the band's talent in writing lyrics, and her vocal skills.

I got an advance copy of Like Vines and I like it a lot. I haven't heard this album though, I will have to give it a listen. Pretty good review.

Saw these guys as the openers to FFTL, who opened for HH, who opened for AAR, who opened for FOB. How's that for credibility?

stinky review, not to mention that you said P! ATD was a standard pop-punk band leads me to believe that you have never heard them, yet already making assumptions about them because someone said they were a fall out boy clone.

As for the review, it was mediocre in every sense of the word. Substandard everything essentially.

lol
you guys take this seriously huh?
don't make assumptions... you don't know who i am
I actually have the panic cd and it was my mistake to name them as a typical pop punk band because they are not.
I got an advance copy of Like Vines and I like it a lot.
Like Vines is so much better than this.
Saw these guys as the openers to FFTL, who opened for HH, who opened for AAR, who opened for FOB. How's that for credibility?
And they sound nothing like any of those bands.

I've never tired of The Artist. Two years of having it on my iPod, and I still get so excited when I'm on shuffle and suddenly hear "Alright, we're rolling. Go ahead."
