Daron Malakian are you fuckng kidding me with this tedious and uninspired effort I had zero idea what to expect when I heard the announcement of this because Serj Tankian's solo debut entitled Elect The Dead was a real life-changing album and a total masterpiece and I was somewhat hoping that you would step up your game and release something different knowing what your mind is completely capable of but no this album is pretty much what you get if you take Mezmerize and Hypnotize and strip them both completely of any cohesion or narrative whatsoever essentially what you have when all is said and done is some bullshit that ends up sounding like songs too shitty to make it into the aforementioned albums with some shitty elements thrown in there for good measure (what the hell is up with that organ on "Exploding/Reloading"???) god fucking dammit Darren you hyped this up as being more experimental and no it's essentially your trying to capitalize on System's success and never mind your whiny bitch voice that only sounded good when harmonized with Serj but let's look at some of the lyrics I mean for one they're just bloody awful, my favourite of which being on "Chemicals" right in the very beginning "I slapped your face, you fell in love when I said FUCK YOUR MOM!!!" really Darren is that supposed to be funny or silly or anti-funny (or anti-silly even) and even the few moments when you do experiment are not even cathartic at all (like that keyboard bit on "Kill Eachother/Live Forever") and overall just come off as forced as for John I can't say much because you're a decent drummer but honestly like I have been spending much of this review and I can honestly not blame you for not knowing what the fuck Darren is trying to do because honestly who can understand what goes on in his mind and I don't mean that in a good way essentially what this is is Darren trying to look superior to System and fuck knows why he did this fucking bullshit in the first place fuck this album I mean at least Imperfect Harmonies has a few moments where I can point and laugh at it but this is just facepalm inducing on every level.

Ugh, dammit Darren.
