to me a.c.l.o.t.m. is the most under-rated and greatest album of incubus' career. this cd i believe was there biggest branch out, the most ballsy move they could've made...well then again the transition from m.y. to m.v. was prob the craziest but nonetheless its a great album.
megalomaniac- the first single of the album....a great song that is reminiscent of make yourself with that almost cosmic force that incubus seems to always nail, a good opener for the cd and somewhat sets the tone for the rest of the album
a crow left of the murder- a very different song that anything else incubus has ever done a carry on verse riff with a simple but loved chorus, the vocals on this track are phenomenal with ben and brandon harmonizing through out the song
agoraphobia- an almost off beat poppy song with one of brandon's...sexiest? vocals, his half whisper half singing..with the chorus explaining the song title and yet anohter great harmony ride through the bridge featuring brandon and ben again..pretty good song
talk shows on mute-a simple yet needed song for the album just a chilled out song with remarks in the chorus to george orwell's 1984 not the best song but not the worst i really dig the solo...
beware! criminal-a very good song to me, everything about it i really like the way brandon sings, the guitar riff, and the great impactful rhthym brought to you by jose and ben, once again a badass bridge that chills it out and takes you somewhere totally different than the rest of the song then goin back in on the 2nd half of the chorus with an abrupt build up...sweet song
sick, sad, little world- this is a insanely great song the riff is almost hypnotic in the intro/chorus' the verse is pulsating then it goes to a chill almost technoish pre chorus and then the breakdown solo/bridge im really glad mike finally showed what he was made of on this album he is a genius with his melodies of solos and his natural style of playing is beautiful....***ing awesome song
pistola- a fast straigt to the point song with the catchiest chorus i believe on the album then the solo on the bridge is nothing ive ever heard....are you noticing a re occuring theme yet?
southern girl- a pretty good song almost a feeling of the doors whan i listen to this one nothin crazy nothing to mention listen to it if you like it you like it if not oh well, not a pivital part of the album but not a bad song at all
priceless- another song that jose juat gets to go off on awesome beat that sounds like his drums are turned up to 12 just an overall awesome tone in the song very fast, and a brilliant hell even awe inspiring solo great instrumentation through the entire song from everybody and brandon yelling/singing "the look on your face awas pricelss..." frucking awesome man just brilliance sheer brilliance
zee deveel- awesome almost stevie rayvaughn tone on this song and awesome drum work with a swaggering bass groove, great catch for the pre chorus and chorus and another awesome solo from mike
made for tv movie- great great song i just love it its simple and great and i can say nothing more about it
smile lines- an almost zeppelin "mist mountain hop" feel to this song i dont tatlly understan dwtf the song is talking about when it goes to the chorus but a great song
here in my room- a beautiful song that you just wanna chill with your girl and take a toke and be with the one you dig great song
leech- one of my favs of the album mike uses some werd ass electric harp lookin thing but it is a great song that is pretty mch carried entirely by ben on the verse a chorus that is catchy as hell with a guitar rhthym that makes you wanna bob your head with a bridge that is taking it back to the science days for me at least and then it fades to nothing saying the rides over....almost a foreshdowing ....i pray everynite it doesnt come true....
and thats the album in my nutshell an awesome buy for any open minded incubus fan its got new hyper songs and some of the most chill work theyve don to date so expect a good route when listening to this album
hope yall enjoyed cuz this was my first review so yall take it easy.....
peace, love and incubus
