Review Summary: Anything Goes
I stopped listening to KMFDM since "Naive". 2007 I realized that this Band is already existing. I strongly remember "More an Faster" as a Funk-Persiflage. So I listened to "Superpower" and felt rethrown into that time. The comment from Telephone made me think I arrived in "The Manual" of KLF again.
Impressions:
Rows of stupidity in girls I know passed my mind as I listend to I am what I am / Looking for strange / Headcase / Not in my name / Fait Accomplished / Bumaye. I am stupid, so please kill me now. Und gib ihr gefälligst was zu trinken! (Gotcha!).
As a Journey into epic Philosophy and History the sensless outpounding of halfwisdom in rhymes made me want to smash my head on the Desk. Anything goes.
And if its not enough I listened next to the unification of idiocy beginning with Ulbrichts Yeah-Yeah-Yeah. Following to shout the opposite to Ulbricht in Form of "Mensch oder Schwein? / Sieg oder Tod? / Friss doch die Wurst ohne das Brot!" then finishing with the hint "totalitär total egal" as a footnote to Slime. Finally to remark to this song there is a quote from Ton Steine Scherben "Macht kaputt, was euch kaputt macht" as one of the most stupid quotes of this Band ever known readable on the Walls and Trainstaions of Germany. Dumb is good.
The direct Coversong "Los Ninos del Parque" remind me of brill-middleclass Electrofans which like Frankfurt or come from Hessen. Die letzte HR3-Discoparty läßt grüßen.
