Review Summary: Nas should have renamed this, I Am... Something Else, Just Not Nasty Nas Anymore.
I gotta say SCREW BOOTLEGGERS! You know why I say that? I say that because they ruined what could have been a great album. You know that album called The Lost Tapes (the one I way overrated [I gave it a 5 but it's a 3.5-4/5], speaking of that, I'll do a forum about the one's that I overrated)? Well, that album had great songs, and most of those fantastically introspective songs would have been on this album. But NO, the bootleggers had to ruin it.
This album shows Nas at one of his weakest out of his whole career. This album is really average, matter of fact, it's the DEFINITION of average. Lyrically Nas is on point on a few songs here, such as NY State of Mind Part 2, but otherwise, Nas is mostly average. There really is nothing special about this album.
So Nas? How do you want me to end this review? Well, I'll say this. I Am... disappointed.
Best Song: NY State of Mind Part II
Weakest Song: Money Is My B***h
