Review Summary: Can you tell me how to get, how to get to romulus street?
16 of 16 thought this review was well writtenHello boys and girls, it is I, Grover. I'm here on behalf of my other furry buddy Romulus to teach you the letters S-P-U-T-N-I-K. S is for super like I, Super Grover! Watch as I take flight, here we go! *crash. Ouch, well, um, I'm sure with the power of song I'll make it by the end of this review. Lets get back to the lesson kids, mhm. P is for pretend, like on the Internet. The Internet is that thing your dad gets on at night when mommy is asleep. People love to pretend on the Internet. You can be anything you want, even a blue monster like muah.
Speaking of the Internet, U is for user. A user is a name for those you'll encounter below. U is also a way of writing you for lazy people but that isn't proper English, that's a boo boo. This is exciting and calls for 15 jumping jacks. Did you know that exercising the body is as important as exercising the mind, yup. What's that cookie monster? I'm getting off topic? Nonsense, here's a treat.
Okay, T is for troll, but not like in the fairy tales your parents read you, oh no. In this place trolls are users behind this magic screen your teacher is showing you who have no life, stay in school. N is for nap, I love naps, *zzzzzzz.
*“Cookie!” Sorry Cookie Monster, ah where was I…yes, the letter I. I can be used to refer to yourself, like I am the best. You'll find that users here all share that opinion. Last but not least, K is for kindness. My home on Sesame Street is full of it but not so much here…this makes Grover sad. Lets cheer me up by putting all those letters together. Sound it out you guys, you can do it, sp-ut-nik, hooray!
Welcome to this special field trip to sputnik land my little ones. You were all so excellent at that last lesson I'm going to share with you my own album,
The Best of Grover. We've had loads of fun singing these classics together when you're on the couch. Now I've put them all in one collection so you can enjoy them over and over and over and over and over. *“Cookie!”
'Proud of Me’ opens up with a playful xylophone throughout as I exclaim, “yes indeed I please myself/my fingers/my toes/my knees/myself/I hug and kiss and squeeze myself/because I am so special.” It's sometimes a great feeling when other people can please you as well, take it from your old pal Grover. *wink.
Remember 'Fuzzy and Blue (and Orange)' kids? I love celebrating with my gang about the wondrous joy of being blue, there's nothing better. Poor Frazzle isn't blue like me, Cookie Monster, or Herry, but it's okay because we all come in different colors. Hit it fellas, “fuzzy and blue and orange/we all are fuzzy and blue and orange/love bein' fuzzy and blue and orange/whatever we do." These cheerful brass instruments are filling me up with butterflies in my tummy, I feel like I can...fly! *splat.
Drat, well back to another jingle like 'What Do I Do When I'm Alone.' "La la la la la la/this is a song I sing," come on everyone. "What do I do when I'm alone/well sometimes I do a little dance/I jump and I hop/hop/hop/that is my little dance." How about you guys? Do you like to write little poems or throw a ball against the wall like your old pal? I hope so because sometimes when I'm alone I get a little down but then I picture you with me and everything is okay. After all, nothing could ruin my mood with this chipper orchestra.
There's also that grand adventure of me crossing the street to meet my dear friend Bert at the park. Aren't you proud of your old pal Grover for being so brave? Remember to always look to the left, then to the right, and repeat. Perhaps your mommy will give you the chance one day. Well, when she does you can sing ‘Thirty-Two Cracks in the Sidewalk’ and count how many cracks there are till you reach your home. Don't forget to bring a friend with you to hum the percussion and flutes.
In the process you can admire how you’re able to make the journey by switching over to ‘I Have Feet.’ Hey, lets play a game to illustrate ‘Near and Far’ shall we. If I tell you a secret, psh you’re awesome, I am near. Now watch me as I run across to the other side of the room, NOOOOW I AAAAAM FAAAAAR! Wasn't that spectacular? I think so.
Have you ever wondered how there's a hole at the bottom of the sea and how many things can connect to it? Then sing with me, Oscar, and company to the tune of this lovely piano and lets see how many we can pile-up. "There's a speck on the flea on the tail on the frog on the bump on the log in the hole in the bottom of the sea."
Shew, that was a tongue twister but I'm proud of you for making it all the way with your old pal. Ah, it's almost time to go huh? Well lets wrap it up with this sort of sad but uplifting tale of that time I tried to build the biggest house you've ever seen! Let me lullaby you off on top of this upbeat jazzy number.
Well I'm gonna build the biggest house you've ever seen
Yes I am, it’s going to stretch from here to where out there and in between
It’s going to have a great big tower reaching to the sky
Going to be so high, oh me oh my you won’t believe it
Oh I'm gonna build the biggest house that’s ever been
Oh it’s going to be huge
It’s going to take a day to cross the hall when you come in
You know how big it’s going to be
Going to be bigger than me, bigger than you
Wait till you see my house when it’s through
There’s big and there’s bigger
But those words don’t say what I mean
I'm gonna build the biggest house you've ever seen
Roses are red, bases are yellow, I add one more block because I’m such a cute fellow
Roses are red, carnations are pink, my house is as big as a giant antique
Well my house is almost finished now
Just one more block way at the tippe top there
And it will be the biggest house anyone has ever seen
Oh but my house is so big
I think I will need this big tall ladder
To reach to the tippe top and put the last block on
Okay, uh here is the big tall ladder, and I’ll put it here
Here goes Grover up the big tall ladder, I’m climbing now
My block in my hand, I’m getting higher and higher
And here I am right at the tippe top
And I will put this last block
Right, uh, right, uh, oh, no, ah!
Oh well, I will try again tomorrow
Never give up on your dreams kids and I’ll see you next time on Sesame Street. Okay Grover, lets give this one last shot…up, up, and AWAAAAY! AH, I DID IT! I'M FLYING! SUPER GROVER TO THE RESCUE!
