Review Summary: A small release with big potential
This demo starts off incredibly strong. From the crunchy guitar riff to the powerful drums and outstanding vocals, the first song seems to express the band for what they are. An angry hardcore band with obvious influences from powerhouse bands like Verse, Dead Swans. I would even go as far to say there are some old norma jean influences embedded in the track.
The song reflects on the the riff at the beginning w/ the same vocals, this adds a sense of catchyness to the song which is awesome. As the song continues passionate screams state ,"You say I'm free but, you don't know me". The next song off the demo starts off with a longing guitar which you'd expect to go into something a little slower, but as in the first song it punches right back but with a lot guitar melodies.
I would say that the second song doesn't have the same effect as the first one as in staying catchy. It does however seem a bit more well written. All around I really enjoyed this release, these dudes have incredible potential. http://judges.bandcamp.com/album/november-2010-demo
