Miscellanous Debris is a 5 track EP of covers written and recorded between 1992's Sailing The Seas Of Cheese and 1994's Pork Soda. Released in 1993, this EP has covers of the bands favourite artists; Peter Gabriel, XTC, The Residents, The Meters, Pink Floyd. Les plays a 6-string fretless bass on all songs.
1. Intruder (Peter Gabriel Cover)
Awesome Drum intro, Primus captured the eerie effect of this song perfectly. Obviously Les cant sing in such a pure english accent, but thats not important. This version does not have the xylophone solo, instead it has Ler's going crazy on the guitar which is like a combination of feedback of perhaps a slide of some form? Fantastic Cover

2. Making Plans For Nigel (XTC Cover)
This is one of my favourite Primus songs (covers). It is about twice the speed. I prefer this version to XTC's simply as its faster. Les's non-stop distorted bass runs through then entire track, and he even gets a very short bass solo in there too. The guitar riff in this track is just plain awesome. It is indeed a jumpy song for sure. The song is a bit shorter than the origional, presumabely because it is a lot faster. I like this song, even though Les minus's the british vocals style like in The Family And The Fishing Net, it doesn't let the track down at all, if anything, it improves it.

3. Sinister Exaggerator (The Residents Cover)
Very awesome, very evil, very creepy song about an exaggerator. This will probably be a non-residents fan least favourite track, but I love it. The vocals are seperated into three or four layers, a croaky voice, a 'normal' voice, a high pitched voice and a really low voice, which is just terrifying! Ler's guitar is tremolo picking notes which don't fit together into a scale and are minor and dissonant to each other. Something that is different about this version is that during the outro, you har Les tab high notes on his fretless, which doesn't occur on the Residents version.

4. Tippi Toes (The Meters Covers)
Short but sweet funk song. The bass line to this track is killer. Though this is not the complete version of the meters song, tippi toes it still kicks ass. The part that this misses is the Organ part, understandably as it is hard to recreate that with guitar . This song is perhaps one of the most simple things Primus have ever recorded. The guitar line is muted but static while the bass uses the actave at D for funk.

5. Have A Cigar (Pink Floyd)
My least favourite song on the EP simply as I find Pink Floyd boring. This is an emmaculate cover, note perfect, though I don't like it. Particularily Les's voice, i'm just not a fan whatsoever.
