This is AAR's debut album, and personally, I thought it was great. AAR says their influences are Bowling For Soup, Fenix TX, Motion City Soundtrack, and many others. They are a great new band and I'm looking forward for their new cd TODAY July 12th! I can't wait to go pick it up.
Well, here'e the review

1. My Paper Heart- Has nice catchy lyrics in the beggining, and techno drums, and an acoustic guitar. Then it gets heavier, and has real emotional lyrics. The techno drums add a nice touch to it and makes this song a great song on the cd. 4/5

2. Your Star- Has pretty good guitar and piano in the beggining and has awesome vocals. When the drums kick in it's just awesome. The chorus is real emotional. If you listen real closely you can hear a synth keyboard in the background of the chorus. 3.5/5

3. Swing, Swing- This is the first single off the album, and everyones heard it. Starts off with an organ, and then some 80s style guitar comes in, and sounds sweet. The verses are pretty good, but the chorus is when it is REAL catchy, but that can be a good thing. The whole song is real emotional and overall its a great song. 4.5/5

4. Time Stands Still- This is the third single off the album. Starts off with some sweet techno drums, and then an acoustic guitar kicks in. The verses are kinda dull, but the chorus is really great, with all the instruments mixing together and the vocals are wonderful. 3.5/5

5. One More Sad Song- Starts off with some cool guitar, and then goes into the verse, which is really good, because of the guitar and vocals. I really like the chorus for this song, I dont know, its just really cool. 4/5

6. Why Worry- Starts off with an acoustic guitar, and the vocals kick in a while after. This is one of the skip tracks for me because, well, I just think its boring, I dont know, it could just be me. Its just too emotional. 2/5

7. Don't Leave Me- I really like this song because its pretty fast. Starts off with a sweet techno drum beat The chorus is really good because the guitar and vocals match so good together. Not really much to say for this song, its just real good :) 4.5/5

8. Too Far Gone- This is probably the most emo song on this cd. Starts off with a pretty cool guitar riff, and the emo vocals come in :( But the song is really good, it just makes you wanna cry. Just Kidding. But it is really sad. The chorus is really good and the interlude is really sad sounding. 4/5

9. Drive Away- This is the fastest song on the cd and the most punk. Starts off really punky, like green day or something, and keeps on going. The vocals are really cool, then the chorus gets really fast and punk, and I like it alot. "I'll cross my t's and dot my I's/ You better say hello don't you dare say goodbye" thats my favorite part, and my favorite song. 5/5 :)

10. Happy Endings- This song has nothing really good about it. Starts off pretty good with the intstruments, but I dont like the vocals in this song for some reason, I dont know, you'll have to listen to it. 2.5/5

11. The Last Song- This is the second single on the album, and its another fast punk song on the cd. It starts off with a radio thing, and then some keyboard I think. I dont know its keyboard or violin, and then the vocals come in. When the drums kick in it gets real punk sounding. The chorus is awesome though, and this is a great song to finish off the cd. Overall, this is just a good song. 5/5

Overall, the cd is really good. At times it gets a little too emo, but its still really good. If you like punk or emo, or even pop, you would like AAR, their just really diverse. Thanks for your time:)

This album isn't from 2005.

This is straight up pop rock. I like Swing Swing.

Too bad "One More Sad Song" was on this CD, I really liked that song... Really dated CD, sounds like most other mainstream bands out there.
