Review Summary: Huge improvement from their albums and also with great lyrics too. And it is really "the most musical album they've recorded".

This is the long awaited album for Staind fan, at least for me. They said "the most musical album we've recorded", and it is true if we listen the improvement to their instruments, listen how beautiful opening of most songs, and that's great.

For me, the best songs of this album are :

This Is It
Believe
All I Want
Lost Along The Way
Raining Again

Believe is also their first single, has too much similiarity to a song from their previous album "Chapter V" that titled "Right Here". Listen how similiar is the opening, reff, and some part when Aaron sing it louder at near the end of the song. But it's great tough, so it will not be a real problem.

"This Is It", "All I Want", "Lost Along The Way" are songs that are too Staind-ish, when you hear it, you must recognize that this is Staind's song, it's hard to describe why I say this, but if you listen to their songs, you'll know. And they are good reliable songs to hear if you expect similiar Staind's music.

"Raining Again" have the most beautiful opening, with a nice reff part. And "Tangled Up In You" delivers a new sensation of Staind's music, similiar to "Epiphany" from "Break The Cycle" album, a rare style of music that Staind released. While the rest is pretty plain for me, a little disappointment for me, but it is enjoyable too.

Overall, this is a great album for Staind fans. They really improved and most of their song here is enjoyable.

Welcome to the site. I would suggest having this proofread to fix the grammatical errors and post it as a sound off or beef it up and make it a full blown track-by-track review.

Sometimes tbt's are easier to do for new reviewers and everybody should just do what they know first. This way, they can take the constructive criticism and get a grasp of how to properly do a review. Or just read some of the other users reviews, whatever hahaha.

We all learn through mistakes.........deep!

I agree with IAmInsect, it needs a lot more "beef" to it. It is way too short and it tells me nothing about the sound of it, although I am pretty sure it probably sounds like everything else that Staind has done over the years. This Message Edited On 08.28.08

I might review this my self as I also have a soft spot for the band. The review was too short for me, far too short and it left a lot to the imagination but it is your first and for that I won't harm the writing vote.

I think everybody should have a chance to redeem themselves with a first review. But hey, your call.

Agreed. I'm not sure how this bypassed the mod queue, but this is not of a sufficient standard for a review on this site. You are welcome to submit a slightly abbreviated version of this, or take a few days and add content and detail to make it into a full review. Either way, I unfortunately have to delete this review, I'll leave it up for another 12 hours so you see this message.
