This is an unofficial (i think) release, it has a number of famous songs on this, so lets get started.
The Unforgivin (Black)
This is one of the best Metallica tunes i have ever heard, as it says it is from the "Black" (Metallica) album, it is heavy in the Verses and it is Melodic (soft) for the chorus, i love the interlude and solo especially the Artifical Harmonics in the intro of the solo, of course the Music Video rules too, this song deserves it's score.
5/5
One (...And Justice For All)
This is probably the most famous song in the world, it was the first Metallica music video made, the song is about someone who lost their arms, legs etc. from a landmine, some of the clips are taken from "Johnny lost his Gun" i love the interlude and the solo to this song because of the Tapped Harmonics, i also love the vocals and if you have a good ear you can actually hear the bass in it (OMG bass actually exists in ...And Justice For All??) this song deserves it's score.
5/5
Mama Said (Load)
This is the second ever soft Metallica song written, it also has a music video Mama Said is about James' Mother's death.
'I need your arms to mother me / Cold stone's all I see' (thanks to Zyxon for that)
3.5/5
Fade To Black (Ride The Lightning)
This song is great, James wrote it when all of their gear got stolen except 3 guitars, it gives a soft tone for the Verses and Distortion for the chorus, this song has a really great first solo and main solo, one of my favourite songs from Ride The Lightning, this song really deserves it's score.
5/5
Welcome Home (Sanitarium) (Master Of Puppets)
This song was the first ever Metallica song i heard and learnt to play on Drums, Guitar and Bass, the vocals really did improve since RTL and KEA, it is the exact opposite of The unforgivin having a soft Verse and Heavy Chorus, the part done by Kirk in the intro is cool and it sounds cool too, the solo is kinda fast at the start but slows down, i like how the drums and bass start off, this song really deserves it's score
4.5/5
Bleeding Me (Load)
This song sounds really great, it is kinda heavy and soft, the vocals sound alright, they could sound a lot better though, this song is catchy and sounds good if you can play it properly, i kinda only like the bass to the song though, but hey it is a really great song despite the vocals the lyrics really rule, this song deserves it's score (like all the others)
4.5/5
Nothing Else Matters (Black)
Man this song was awesome the first time i heard it, the first ever song Metallica wrote that is soft, i still love it no matter how many times i have heard/played it, i couldn't help but go out and buy the music book for this song (hahaha $75 down the drain) all you soft music fans out there need to hear this song, it has and interlude solo that is clean and primary solo which is dirty, best song of Metallica (imo)
5/5
To Live Is To Die (...And Justice For All)
This is one great instrumental song, the best Metallica instrument (or tied with Orion) this only have about 3 lines of lyrics near the end of the song, it starts off soft then starts fading out and becomes heavy, what i hate about it is that you can't hear the bass in it :( non the less i love it, i love all the ...And Justice For All stuff, you should too.
4.5/5 (because of no bass)
The Outlaw Torn (Load)
This song is really great, i like the bass lines in it they rock, something worth learning as a band, the thing that killed it was the singing (i think it killed it with all Load songs) but it all sounds great live, i like the lyrics to the song, this isn't a very known song, but i think it should be.
4.5/5
Pros:
-it is all chosen so you dont have to chose it
-the songlist is great
cons:
-it doesnt have a lot of songs
-stuff like Battery isn't on it (i wouldn't say it's a Ballad but hey)
-it needs the Elevator version of Nothing Else Matters
Overall: this is one great selection of Metallica songs, don't ask me where to get it cus i have no damned idea, i saw it in my cousins room.
10/10
