 | Surfer Blood Pythons While the hooks are slightly less crunchy this time around, the dudes of Surfer Blood have
certainly not exchanged excitement for quality on their sophomore album, Pythons.
Polished, jaunty, and beautiful, the music on Pythons is well-built and seductive.
Cohesion and clarity of vision shine through. Standout tracks include singles "Demon Dance"
and "Weird Shapes," as well as the stunning closer to the non-deluxe version, "Prom Song."
John Paul Pitts' vocals have improved, though, for my taste, they are a bit lacking in the
unhinged lunacy which gave them such bite and danger o | 4.5 06.12.13 | | The National Alligator

 | MisterTornado Have you checked out the new Phosphorescent? Have a feeling you'd dig the hell out of it
|
 | MisterTornado I saw Sigur Ros live last week, it was mind blowing. Loving the new EP, the LP should be their best in a while. Mhm agreed, loving the hell out of the new Kurt Vile. It's kinda like a sequel to Jim O'Rourke's Insignificance.

 | MisterTornado It's cool man. Sweet, hope you like 'em. Doom95@live.com

 | MisterTornado Awesome, hope you like it man. Haha, that's understandable. In the meantime check out Rob Mazurek Octet - Skull Sessions, it's a fantastic mix of wild and abrasive jazzscapes that's weirdly at-home and comfortable sounding. Sounds like bulls***, but once you listen to it I think you'll hear it too.
