Shores of Null Homesick this band went from making one of the best long form doom metal pieces in recent memory to making butt rock doom. what a fall from grace.	2.0 10.16.26
Insomnium Netherworlds this really is the most ambivalent i've ever felt towards an insomnium album, fleeting between "oh they're trying to make shadows of the dying sun again" and "is this just slower omnium gatherum?" with not a lot in between. as admittedly reductionist as those statements are i don't feel at all compelled to challenge them. gotta give it to anno 1696 in that there were actual highlights - this just feels flat, neither here nor there or anywhere.	2.5 10.15.26
Deafheaven At Work in the Fields of the Bomb	3.5 10.12.26
Lacrimas Profundere Lay Me Down O Silent Fear	2.0 09.28.26
	Mastodon Marrow Deep	2.5 09.16.26
Fluisteraars Jacht der Mysteriën this is definitely a step down from their last metal offering but i still think it's good. the ambient doesn't really serve it very well whereas their last metal offering was really well balanced and intentional with its more atmospheric sections - there's really no reason this should have 10 minutes of samey ambient at the end.	3.0 09.10.26
Green Carnation A Dark Poem Part III: The Messiah Complex	3.5 09.09.26
