Seeing as it's so similar to Jeff Buckley, I really should love this... but something's not meshing with me; maybe it's the delivery that's getting at me. While it wasn't exactly a groundbreaking approach, on Grace it sounded like Jeff was putting the entirety of heart and soul into each individual song... all I'm getting with this is a guy with a good voice mimicking his idols (though not Buckley specifically). 2.6/5 | 2.5

When you have as extensive a backlog of "need-to-listens" as I do (slowly chipping away at a 200+ heap), when deciding whether to keep an album or not, you probably follow something of a forumla. About 99% of the time it comes down to: judging an album on its merits and flaws, and either keeping or trashing accordingly. Rarely does something magical happens where you're completely blown away by the sheer beauty of the music; that's what happened to me today with "How it Feels to Be Something On." 4.6/5 | 4.5
