Hmmm...two primarily green LP covers in a row...what does that say about this band?

"are these guys even trying anymore" (1.5)rThis was literally just bgm for their documentary and some live performances.

It's missing some of the power that that The Mountain displayed but that's really all. I love how this is definitely a different album with it's own sound. Every song has a moment of sheer epic beauty reminding us that they still haven't peaked. It may not be the most immediate album, but I promise more listens will only do it justice. Very happy with this.

Telle still sounds weak, but definitely better than Real. Easily their most consistent record since Deceiver, with only one terrible track (Made This Way) and 2-3 average ones. The rest are all pretty solid. The last 5 songs are some of the best they've done in a while, with the absolute standout being the title track. It may be less technical than some of the stuff I remember from Real, but this suits the band better. And it's not all lost (bridge in Grunge is awesome, and the 2nd verse in Sellout is a good change-up). Overall, 3.4/5. I still think Telle's cleans rob this of being a true comeback, but it's a pretty damn good reminder

Someone should review this because it's one of the greatest math rock releases ever. It's like they are doing all these crazy parts just to do them, but the songs themselves have oh so much substance both musically and lyrically that it blends so well. "Satellite" is one of the most well constructed songs out there. You've definitely heard twinkly talented math rock before if you've found this, but these guys have something special. I promise you won't be disappointed.
