I never said that. I'm saying bands like Coheed and Cambria or Fair to Midland being shoved in with bands like King Crimson and such simply isn't fair. They're both prog, but they're undeniably worlds apart in sound, and it would make sense to have a tag to separate them, especially for people trying to get into the genre. |

but i think the "New Prog" or "post prog" thing is kinda dumb. the idea of prog is that it isnt necessarily similar because it moves forward. buttttt, i do understand your point very much, and i think their should be a tag for just "progressive" on top of the "progressive rock/metal" tags so that it can be but on groups that have progressive tendencies but arent linked to the classic prog-rock sound or whatever |
