| Under-recognized Bands on Sputik
Here are some bands that just aren't popular here on Sputnik, you guys really should hear em. | 1 | | Procol Harum A Salty Dog
Psychedelic/Progressive Rock. I'm astonished at the lack of votes on this band's discography as well as some other classic progressive rock bands, including Uriah Heep and Traffic, especially since this site has such a large prog community. | 2 | | Unsane Visqueen
Noise Metal, Post-Hardcore, sludgy/doomy. Good god this band is heavy. | 3 | | Black Eyes Black Eyes
Noise Rock, Post-Punk, Post-Hardcore-ish. This album especially is really awesome, has some great alt rock tendencies and a lot of personality. | 4 | | Hoover The Lurid Traversal of Route 7
Post-Hardcore, Emo-ish. Another one I'm astonished about sputnik not knowing well. Sputnik has such a huge post-hardcore community, yet this album, one of the most influential post-hardcore albums, has a massive lack of recognition on here. | 5 | | Echo and The Bunnymen Porcupine
Post-Punk, New Wave, like a better Joy Division. I assume a lot of people here know about this band, but it's still surprising there are very few votes, especially considering how many votes the other classic post-punk bands such. | 6 | | The pAper chAse Now You Are One Of Us
Dischordant, experimental indie rock/pop. This band is straight up strange, but so catchy and full of personality. | 7 | | Women Public Strain
Post-Punky shoegaze. This album is one of the best albums of the 2010's in my opinion. | 8 | | Cranes Forever
Dream Pop. One of the best albums and bands of the first wave of dream pop. | |

03.19.14 | Out of this list I've only heard Echo and The Bunnymen. I only know "The Killing Moon" and to me that song is boring as hell. If the rest of their stuff is less of a snooze-fest, maybe I'll give them a shot. | Rhyme
03.19.14 | 7 isnt shoegaze | Greyvy
03.19.14 | yes for 8 :] | Spec

03.19.14 | 8 rules check it | JaySpiral
03.19.14 | @Rhyme I'd argue they're quite shoegazey, maybe noise rock would have been a better term? | beefshoes
03.19.14 | You forgot Converge. | JaySpiral
03.19.14 | @ArsMoriendi Their first four albums, especially Porcupine, are all worth checking, classic post-punk.
@beefshoes lol | Rhyme
03.19.14 | noise rock, post punk, or indie rock would be fine by me | MrSirLordGentleman

03.19.14 | Cerdes and Christmas Camel are best songs ever. | Lord(e)Po)))ts
03.19.14 | some good bands but these are all much more recognized on here than an infinite number of other stuff. especially women | JaySpiral
03.19.14 | @akimbo take that back. | JaySpiral
03.19.14 | @Lordpots well of course, these are just a few things that I really like that aren't very recognized on here. | BMDrummer
03.19.14 | Always meant to try 2, heard it influenced lots of my favorite bands. | Lord(e)Po)))ts
03.19.14 | thats fair and fine but all im saying is that most of these have a niche on sput and there are tonnes of users that you must not talk to that love those bands more than life itself
while there are thousands of albums by bands that the entirety of sputnik would literally fill up a pool of cum over and they have either 0 ratings or 1 rating. | Greyvy
03.19.14 | how deep is this pool? | JaySpiral
03.19.14 | Yeah I get what you're saying, and it's unfortunate. | Veldin
04.14.14 | 6 is one of my favorite albums of all time and is massively underrated, unfortunately. | Rowan5215
