|Ranking All Songs On Deliverance By Opeth|
Just continuing my rankings of songs on each album by Opeth.
This is one of the main songs that got me into Opeth. I love the main riff that the songs
kicks right in with, and the calm parts fit well. The way they transition into the final stretch
of the song is one of my favorite moments in all of Opeth's songs!
It took many listens to really appreciate this song. It can drag a little, but that intro is just so
awesome! One of my favorite drum performances for sure, and it has one of my favorite solos
by Opeth. The outro is also awesome, especially with the song that follows...
|3||A Fair Judgement|
This song really reminds me of My Arms, Your Hearse, and I love it. The sludgy ending, the
piano, the harmonizing vocals. Who wouldn't like this song?
I love about the first two thirds of this song, but the acoustic parts and the last riff that
essentially makes up the final three and half minutes really bores me. But that first 8
minutes is perfection!
|5||For Absent Friends|
One of my favorite interludes by Opeth. Just easy to listen to, I almost wish it was longer!
|6||By The Pain I See In Others|
This song frustrates me. The track itself is 13:50 long... the actual song is around 9:30? I
don't like the verses, I don't like the acoustic parts, the 7/8 time makes it not easy to listen
to sometimes. Not one of my favorite Opeth songs at all.
