Mutul! + Stuff.

So every once in a while I go back to my roots and grab some highly prized metal albums that float around just to keep up to date with the scene. Here's what's recent:
1In Mourning
Shrouded Divine
2Arghoslent
Hornets of the Pogrom
3Monstrosity
Spiritual Apocalypse
4Gorod
Leading Vision
5Suffocation
Pierced From Within
6Baroness
Red Album

Probably the 'grooviest' heavy album I've heard, it's awsome! I don't get the comparisons to Isis though.
7Burial
Burial

And I thought Untrue was sparse - this... this is just completely bare. In a really cool way.
8Davwuh
Dystopia

This is some really cool dubstep which I stumbled across, nothing at all like Burial (for those who haven't heard anything else), but it's still dark, ambient and absorbing, probably one of the years best. The artist is giving it away free from: davwuh.wordpress.com/mp3/dystopia/
9Unn
Exit

Not quite Dubstep, probably closer to ambient minimal, another of this years releases, it's nice and chill, but it's really a 'be in the mood' albums.
10The Bug
London Zoo

Yeahyeah, the pitchfork one, came across a link while looking for other stuff and figured, yeah, why not? You can really see the 'dub' side of Dubstep coming through here, think Jamaica meets electronic producer.
11Skream
Skream

Yep, more dubstep, not quite as 'dubby' was The Bug, but still pretty heavy, the bass is really DROPPED here underneath all the atmosphere.
12Red Snapper
Prince Blimey

This is supposed be to some sort of classic, mixing in jazz with ambient electronica, but my god is it dated and boring. Sounds like 80s lounge music
13Underoath
Lost In The Sound Of Separation

Happy I picked this up, totally dug Define the Great Line, and this is probably better.
14Gatsbys American Dream
Ribbons And Sugar

This is awesome, it's not exactly heavy, but it's got an awesome post-hardcore vibe a la Glassjaw, but managing to keep it alot more pop-punk.
