09.23.15 | Not sure if you’re already aware of him, but I think Jandek would fit the bill here. His discography is massive, but I think I’d recommend Chair Beside a Window, Blue Corpse, and Skirting the Edge. Sibylle Baier’s Colour Green may appeal to you as well. | bnelso55
09.23.15 | Also, Peter Lang’s “The Thing at the Nursery Room Window” is a notable contribution to the style. Leo Kottke’s “6 & 12 String Guitar” and “One Guitar, No Vocals” might some obvious suggestions, but I’d argue that he is almost as integral to the genre as Fahey. While I’m at it, I suppose I might as well recommend the “Leo Kottke / Peter Lang / John Fahey” collaboration from 1974. There is some pretty incredible fretwork on that record. | treeqt.
