In Defense Of Country Music

For the past 15 years or so, Country music has been slowly getting fucked to death by the rrrmusic industry. What was once a deeply heartfelt rand truly original genre of American music rrrhas turned into a amalgamated Frankenstein's Monster of insipid pop, dumbed down rock, rand rrinbred jingoistic sentiment, only referred to as Country because the douchebag singer rwith rrrthe tight t-shirt and the 500$ cowboy boots has a southern rtwang. Every time Jason rrAldean rrshits out some faux-redneck rcolloquialism about big green tractors and eating rrcornbread and rbiscuits Hank Williams' corpse shits itself and tries to claw its way out of its rrcoffin to rstranglefuck whichever corporate fuckwit wrote his lyrics. So it's really no surprise rrthat rCountry music has come to be so vilified by the younger generations of music lovers, rrmany of rwhom have only been exposed to the saccharine dreck being churned out by the rrpopular rrrmainstream country artists today. But the examples of Country music rthat show ran runtold rrdepth and emotion are more than a redeeming rfactor for what we see in the rrmainstream. rWould you dismiss Metal as a genre because all you'd heard on the radio was rrAvenged rSevenfold and r(fuck me) Three Days Grace? And so, I present these albums for rrrconsideration, albums that may not even entirely convince you that country still isn't a shit rrrgenre, but should at least give you some insight into what's really at the heart and soul of rrthe rmusic.
