Least Favorite Albums of 2018
...because I know you all care :-) |
20 | | TesseracT Sonder
'King' and 'Juno' are absolute bangers for sure, but the rest of this album is just so boring. 'Lumainary' is probably their worst song to date. |
19 | | Amaranthe Helix
I can definitely see the potential of a band like Amaranthe, but here it's just not very interesting or memorable. Here's hoping that new Within Temptation album will be good when that drops. |
18 | | Northward Northward
Floor Jensen is such a good vocalist that has been just been completely wasting her talents, and this album is no exception. |
17 | | Estrons You Say I'm Too Much, I Say You're Not Enough
It literally sounds like Hayley Williams tried to make a post-punk record. Take that as you will. |
16 | | Black Veil Brides Vale
It's a BVB album, what else were you expecting? |
15 | | Memphis May Fire Broken
Don't really get a hate for this one for the most part. Considering I was never a fan of them to begin with, I just found this to be nothing more than another uninteresting, uninspired post-hardcore album. Maybe that's why people hate it so much. |
14 | | Andrew W.K. You're Not Alone
I can't exactly party hard to this album. Then again I'm not really familiar with Andrew W.K. but after listening to this album I don't really get the appeal. |
13 | | Three Days Grace Outsider
Sure it's better than their last album, but how much is that saying? It's still not very good. |
12 | | Godsmack When Legends Rise

11 | | Crossfaith Ex_Machina
I actually kinda liked the first two or three songs off of this, but man it got annoying really quickly. And for fuck's sake Chester Bennington is rolling in his grave with that cover of "Faint". |
10 | | Greta Van Fleet Anthem of the Peaceful Army
I don't find this band as insulting as everyone makes them out to be, but that being said these guys really do need to actually "create" something with their influences other than to be a Led Zeppelin knock-off. Brace yourselves though, because these guys are going to be the Imagine Dragons of "classic rock", and they're not going away anytime soon. |
9 | | Bullet For My Valentine Gravity
This band was never really that good in the first place to be honest, and I'm really not surprised they went to the more electro alt-rock route for this. Just because you put in electronic influences in your music doesn't always mean it's going to be good. These bands really need to stop trying to copy off Bring Me The Horizon. |
8 | | Blessthefall Hard Feelings

7 | | From Ashes To New The Future
If this is the future of music, than I'll probably stop listening to it altogether. Seriously, why are people trying to bring back nu-metal? |
6 | | Parkway Drive Reverence
I honestly love "Wishing Wells" and "Chronos" is pretty decent as well....but man the rest of the album is just AWFUL. Absolutely awful. |
5 | | Thirty Seconds to Mars America
"Remedy" is really the only good tune off of this. It's actually a nice little song, but everything else is just another diet Imagine Dragons that's trying to be a part of the trend that's sweeping the radiowaves. |
4 | | Disturbed Evolution
I will admit that overall it's at least trying something different at times, but it all ends up as nothing more than a complete and total snooze. They're literally trying to make another "Sound of Silence" for half the record while the other half is the same Disturbed we've been listening to for years. |
3 | | Muse Simulation Theory
These 80s nostalgia throwback albums just needs to stop. |
2 | | Imagine Dragons Origins
Imagine Dragons doing what they do best, ruining our ears as the next Nissan commercial or Disney animated movie trailer uses another one of their hit singles. |
1 | | Five Finger Death Punch And Justice for None
Probably the most offensive thing I've heard this year tbh. It's stupid, it's talentless, it's another FFDP album and you should find a better way to spend your time. |
