Saw Trivium last night

Went to the show at Worcester, Mass. Overall it was pretty great.
1Fit for an Autopsy
The Great Collapse

These guys did a great job of opening the show. They managed to deliver out a huge amount of energy right from the beginning. I never listened to these guys before, but I just might start listening to them based on how great they did.
2While She Sleeps
You Are We

Wasn't really expecting much from these guys to begin with and I was pretty much right. It took until the third song for the crowd to really start getting into them and even then there wasn't was much energy as Autopsy. They were having technical difficulties while they were setting up and there were even a couple times where the lead singer's mic stopped working mid song and almost fucked them up. They kept calling out for more crowd surfing and mosh pits to try and keep the energy going but I wasn't really feeling it. That being said the lead singer seemed to have a good time and he crowd surfed a couple times and I got to help hold him up which was pretty cool.
3Trivium
The Sin and the Sentence

Pretty much the main reason why I (and I'm sure 90% of everyone else) went to the show, all thanks to the fact that Matt Heafy himself gave me VIP tickets for free (I missed the meet and greet though). They did a damn good job. They mostly played stuff from their previous albums though they did do a few from the new album. I'm so glad they did 'Kirisute Gomen' and 'Like Light to the Flies', and they ended it off with 'In Waves' which was awesome.
4Arch Enemy
Will to Power

These guys were good but man their set was long as fuck. It must've been at least and hour and a half and by that time I was so out of energy from Trivium that I was ready to pack up and leave. Regardless, Alyssa is a pretty killer vocalist and she made it worthwhile. If I ever see these guys again hopefully I'll feel up to it (and hopefully they'll have a shorter set).
