Some Unpopular Film Opinions

I'm not claiming to be any film genius or anything, these are just some of my ropinions that don't seem to be shared very much. List is digs.

I think Scarface is pretty bland. I always thought the only real reason it is held in such high regard is the fact that Tony Montana and "Say hello to my little friend" are iconic
2Modern Life is War

While I do really like Stanley Kubrick, I do not thing he is a genius by any means. In fact I think he is one of the more overrated directors of all time. He doesn't write original screenplays and nearly every one of his most famous movies have disappointed me in some relatively large way.
Body of the Life-Force

Inception, it's ight. Simply it was never my cup of tea as far as huge blockbusters go. Nearly everyone had a decent acting performance, and it was relatively visually appealing. I dunno, it just didn't click with me, movie is ight.

Marlon Brando's performance in the Godfather isn't that great at all to me, yet it is held in such high regard (often as the best performance ever). He doesn't have that much screen-time and he is a stagnant, unchanging, and to be totally honest, boring and unoriginal character. Don't hate me pls. Also, could be my fav album ever.
The Great Annihilator

This one isn't that unpopular, outside of the film snob circle, but I think Lars Von Trier is absolutely horrid. Melancholia is good, but outside of that he is horrid. His movies look phenomenal, but carry really badly written symbolism and really aren't much more than shock-value and if you really think you "get" his movies, you probably wear a fedora...
