02.22.13 | 6 & 10 never get the love they need |
Calc
02.22.13 | yankee listen to my latest review. since you apparently like 70's i really think you'll like it. |
RollieQuibbs
02.22.13 | 1 is great, just give a couple more listens all the way through. |
YankeeDudel
02.22.13 | 1 sounds just like Yes I mean just listen to Yes.
List needs some Riverside, Spocks Beard, Present, etc.
And Calc is it from the 70s cuz I dont usually like 70s worship Id rather just ya know listen to the trve innovators that are
the 70s. |
Jethro42
02.22.13 | Sweet list

Calc
02.22.13 | i wouldnt call it worship...but if you dun wanna. |
RollieQuibbs
02.22.13 | Of the Bands I missed, I love Riverside, Astra but I always get a cold feeling from Spocks Beard and Neal Morse.
Of course the 70's were better but I can't stop looking for new bands that are almost as good as the dinosaurs.
My 70's list - http://rateyourmusic.com/list/Denzer/favorite_albums_from_the_1970s |
YankeeDudel
02.22.13 | ^ good list there rollie cant go wrong with any of those 70s jams
i gotcha man im just pullin your leg. are you a fan of opeth, tool, p tree/steven wilson, anathema, mars volta, kingston wall, anglagard, rx bandits, indukti, ayreon, hidria spacefolk, sylvan, pendragon, alamaailman vasarat, nosound, , circle, diagonal, haken, crippled black phoenix, discipline, aluk todolo, the flower kings, etc? the first 5 get enough love but the rest are all great. |
Keyblade
02.22.13 | the flower kings for sure if you haven't checked em out. great band. |
halloway
02.22.13 | Classics? Is that why I've only heard of 4 of these bands? |
RollieQuibbs
02.22.13 | @Yankee, those first 5 are all decent with some great songs. As for the rest, Anglagard, Indukti, ang discipline are great; hidria spacefolk ( new album!!! ), sylvan, pendragon, & crippled black phoenix are good and I don't know the rest. |
RollieQuibbs
02.22.13 | The flower kings always gave me that same frigid feeling as Spocks Beard, and Transatlantic. Maybe I should listen to FK more...
@halloway - yeah these are not really classics but most of them should be. |
mursu
02.22.13 | Pretty good list. |
OneMoreRoland
02.22.13 | 8 Should be 1.
Needs more PT
and El Cielo |
SupercolliderMusic
02.22.13 | Rush - Clockwork Angels... |
MeatSalad
02.22.13 | Decent list but I hate karnivool and you chose two of beardfish's weakest albums |
RollieQuibbs
02.23.13 | El Cielo is at least a 4 star album. So is Clockwork angels. PT I like a lot but only through thoer 2 DVD's. Their studio albums feel off comapred to those live performances ( which have great sound & performances )
As far as Beardfish is concerned I love their older stuff more than the void and mammoth. especially the tracks I listed for these 2 albums here. |
MeatSalad
02.23.13 | Sleeping in traffic pt. 1 is amazing though, man |
sjp55555
02.23.13 | 15 should not be 15 |
RollieQuibbs
02.23.13 | @MeatSalad, the song Roulette from Sleeping In traffic Pt 1, is one the best songs I have ever heard, The rest of the album pales in comparison to me, although I've only heard the album 10 times. |
MeatSalad
02.23.13 | but sunrise! and that other one |
RollieQuibbs
02.23.13 | oh yeah, I firgot how much sunrise rules. |
