impoppy 08.19.12	I'd say in terms of modern rock, Bayside's guitarist is fantastic but mostly overlooked. Older stuff like you're posting, I'd say Tom Scholz.
JamieTwort 08.19.12	Great list. Peter Green is one of the most underrated blues guitarists ever. Steve Hackett is one of my all time favourite guitarists, props for putting Beyond the Shrouded Horizon, one of the best albums of last year.

jungletiger 08.19.12	You know, i'm not sure if he should be on any lists, but i fucking love mike kinsellas guitar playing such tender emotional guitar playing mixed with technicality but so fluid and honest. I haven't listened to much of his influences so i can't tell how original his playing is but i doubt whichever ever guitar players he borrows from can move me as much

newjunkaesthetic93 08.19.12	I'm not really sure what kind of guitarist qualifies as being underrated since I don't know who even rates guitarists, but what about Tom Verlaine? Is he underrated? He's an outstanding guitarist so if he isn't being rated well then he is without a doubt under rated.

xVerschtx 08.19.12	Props for Corgan and McLaughlin. The Pumpkins' work got me into playing guitar, and as I progress as a player, I am still getting more and more impressed with his playing. McLaughlin opened up a whole new world of techniques and improvisational ideas. All choices are very good, though, even if some of those guys do get a pretty good amount of praise!

menawati 08.19.12	@MeatSalad, I think they are. I mean Lifeson and Howe hardly ever feature in those lists like in Rolling Stone and instead they put people like Kurt Cobain and The Edge in there. Blackmore was huge way back but he's sort of fallen off the radar now. Whatever, it's all opinions :]

SgtPepper 08.20.12	@Barca I've seen Omar mentioned in several "Best modern guitarist" lists, and rightfully so. He's very talented and versatile, but really doesnt get recognition from mainstream spotlights.
