Best Recs From Random People #2
Part 2. |
5 | | Nodes of Ranvier Nodes of Ranvier
An old friend from high school was working in a christian book store. I went to meet him at the end of his shift one night and was browsing the CD rack. I thought I would only find a few laughs looking at cheesy gospel album covers. Then my buddy says they have a good "metal" section. So I checked out Nodes. Their self titled album was creative, had good production, and nice energy. All there other albums were generic and sucked. |
4 | | Regina Spektor Songs
Sound engineer who recorded the first demo I played on. He was this tattooed up straight edge hardcore punk kid. After we were done recording he throws on "Samson". My life was forever changed. |
3 | | Protest the Hero Kezia
Old college roomate. We were on our way from Mass to Florida on spring break and listened to a bunch of albums. He put on "No Stars Over Bethlehem" and I was hooked. |
2 | | The Fall of Troy Manipulator
Some guy in the 17th floor of Fox Hall at Ulowell. He was blasting Manipulator right after it came out and I was strangely intrigued. |
1 | | Kaki King Legs to Make Us Longer
Girl I met in kindergarten. About 5 years ago I ran into this girl again after not
seeing her in many years. Went on a few dates and it went nowhere, but she introduced me to Kaki and for that I am forever thankful. |
