Can't avoid saying that I am a little disappointed here. The noisy gazey aesthetic with fun twinkles and a slight taste for dissonance sounds amazing to me on paper, but I always find the execution to feel a touch underwhelming, especially vocally. I might give them a chance again, and if there are future releases I'll jam them, but as is I can't say this is a favourite.

I say done but I might check more pieces - but the 'discog' part I'm happy with. Adams' work gives me my fix for modern 'classical' that isn't too dissonant or aggressive. His works are also heavily piano based which is nice. Alas I never like them as much as some other fantastic giants - there seems to always be about 1/4 to 1/3 of the sections in each piece that I don't particularly enjoy, and I am also rarely thrilled. The music is very nice, but it doesn't always stun me ygm. So he isn't my favourite composer of all time, but I reliably enjoyed his pieces and they deserve a pedestal-less place in the library.

Still have the Initiation compilation left, but that will be for when I am back in a dark ambient phase. 'Hin' is an incredible track, one of the most moving atmospheric bm tracks that I know and one of my very favourites alongside the greatest from PdH for example. But everything else by this Trist is rather dull to me. Largely dull dark ambient with far too many whispers and vocal samples, and sometimes dull bm that has little to do with the incredible vastness of 'Hin'. Jam 'Hin' tho seriously

A pretty underbaked discog that starts really well but afterwards often outputs records that rehash the same track for too long, or only have a couple highlights. Most of the discog is pretty tepid (I think I used the phrase "too little too late" in half my soundoffs), but LALD was a nice Bedecore record to be sure.

Excellent neo-soul artist with a relatively small discog at this point. I like her hazy voice, but more importantly I like how her music plays with rhythms and drum fills to give her soul a groovy flavour. I am waiting to see what she comes up with on longer format, and I think it'll be exciting. Mostly a playlist artist at this point for me I would say, but if she doesnt release more or if the newer things turn out disappointing I feel like one of the EPs may be a keeper.

Excellent little discog for a burgeoning young UK neo-soul/RnB tangential artist. The EP pictured here is particularly good with dancey bossa nova/reggaetoney touches in places, and she's got enormous potential. I am definitely gonna be keeping an eye on this one.

Very functional and fun little dream pop gazey discog of just two EPs for now. This is the sort of stuff that's never going to be a 5 but is also never gonna be an unpleasant listen, and this definitely goes on the list of records I'll happily play in the car as summer ends. The two EPs lumped together clock below 40 minutes, so I'll say they can be keepers, but I am hoping for longer form releases that will maintain the same level of quality.

Not as entranced as I thought I'd be. She's a fantastic vocalist, she mixes cool influences and she has a desire to explore the weird and as a result her stuff is often cool. But I'm finding her albums have a lot of downtime where I don't care as much about what's happening. With focused and coherent albums with her good sides it could be incredible though.

Seminal dungeon synth discog and I can see why. In the span of a couple years this project released some of the finest stuff out there, though in my experience it was only fully concretized in a consistent, coherent manner on Depressive Silence II aka Mourning apparently aka this one here. The first EP was also quite impressive, but DS II is truly the jam I'll look for to score my adventures.
