4.0 really solid, no boring tracks. Very well-crafted and hype-worthy
3.5 well-crafted but maybe not super solid, or maybe it drags a bit compared to a 4/5. Still quite good but not super awesome.
3.0 Pretty listenable but not very exciting or solid. Maybe with a few standout tracks but nothing I'd be more than lukewarm about.
2.5 Starting to get meh. Really not-solid, clunky choruses or verses. Average. You can put it on and probably not cringe very often at how clunky it is, but also not be very excited about the content, if at all.
2.0 sucks but not worth thing ever. Maybe some redeeming qualities here or there that do get ruined by other qualities, but not wholly awful.
1.5 almost wholly awful, but not so much that I hate it vehemently.

1.5 - Didn't make me want to vomit listening, but still will never listen again. Extreme letdown with seldom redeeming qualities.
2 - Beyond mediocre, but with a few good traits. Severe letdown with a few redeemable qualities.
2.5 - Average. Just as much bad as there is good. While I might enjoy certain moments, it's overall an uneventful listen.
3 - Above average. While I might listen to this and enjoy it, I don't find myself needing to revisit it.
3.5 - Genuinely enjoyable. Plenty of great qualities and I find myself going back to it. Falls short in enough areas to not be considered profound by any means, but good enough to be considered among my occasional spins regardless.
4 - Truly great. Stands out from fodder music and exhibits a level of musicianship that I can listen to over and over again.
4.5 - Transcends its peers. A level of musicianship that inspires and talent that is seldom surpassed.
5 - Not a single thing I would change. As classic as classic gets. Prodigies of their genre. |
