The Scientifically Verified Pink Floyd Rankingz

this is a list of scientifically comfirmed PF album rankings based on science
1Pink Floyd
The Dark Side of the Moon

A concept album for life. The beginning of the peak of Floyd. A wonderful piece that incorporates everything that Floyd were ever about, including a remaining influence of psychedelia.
The greatest rock album of all-time.
2Pink Floyd
Animals

Probably the best PF album musically. Great use of synth, great concept, best PF lyrics of any album, Gilmour's best guitar work.
3Pink Floyd
Wish You Were Here

It's weird to see this rated 3rd because it is, like the last two, a masterpiece. An album dedicated to Syd, this album is their most personal and emotional. Wonderful song composition, and like DSOTM, showcases Floyd's multi-layered talent.
4Pink Floyd
Meddle

Had the album not had San Tropaz and Seamus and instead filled that time with songs equaled to the other three, this would probably be my number one. Echoes is Floyd's best song, and Fearless is their most underrated.
5Pink Floyd
The Piper at the Gates of Dawn

Their debut, lead by Syd. A true masterpiece of Brit-psychedelia. Syd had a brilliant mind for art and music, and composed some great songs. Where this really shines through is the little jam sessions, including the extended jam Interstellar Overdrive.
6Pink Floyd
The Wall

Roger took over and made a great concept album, but lacks the musicality of the rest of the group, who were being ousted at this point.
7Pink Floyd
A Saucerful of Secrets

The transition album between Syd and Gilmour-era Floyd. Some great songs on here. Prime Floyd already starting to shine through, even though they just released the purely Brit-psychedelia album PATGOD the year before.
8Pink Floyd
Obscured by Clouds

Underrated album put out just before Dark Side.
9Pink Floyd
The Final Cut

Waters composed some great songs RE: war, but lacks the depth of the Floyd sound, and let's face it, Roger isn't as great of a singer.
10Pink Floyd
Atom Heart Mother

Their most experimental sound. Gilmour has stated that he hates this album when he looks back, but it's a unique "orchestrated-psychedelic-hard-rock" album with long compositions. Their least accessible.
11Pink Floyd
Ummagumma

Live album + experimental pieces.
12Pink Floyd
The Division Bell

Their better album as a three-piece. Some people really hold this one highly.
13Pink Floyd
More

60's soundtrack album.
14Pink Floyd
A Momentary Lapse of Reason

Meh. Weak 3-piece effort.
