These lean on the gazier / post side of things, but Champ du Sang is some solid blackened post-metal / sludge that flew a little under the radar and I think you'll really dig it.
Also gonna check that TGIAC album, sounds right up my alley and never heard of the band |

I heard a track off that White Ward album as well a few days back but I do need to get on the rest of that cos I ran out of time heh

I can rec you Andavald (Icelandic black stuff, bit doomy), Wormlust/Skaphe's split (psych Iceland stuff), Suhnopfer (French meloblack which is the tits), Unfurl's new one (from a Sput user no less), Qualm - Tiefe (quite sad stuff that washes over like a tidal wave) and new Dauþuz (cos I'd rec these guys to a tree if I could, they're that good)
I also sorta rec new Csejthe but in the sense of 'listen to that and then go and listen to their previous works which are absolutely bloody outstanding and the new one is a downgrade'
I know Downfall of Gaia's newest one already and it's REALLY good - I don't think they can do much wrong as a band tbh. I'll add the other one though! |
