I guess there's the Funkadelic song "Jimmy's Got a Little Bit of Bitch in Him" but that one is potentially homophobic? I'm not sure it's vague but it's definitely about a gay guy |

I believe I also read somewhere many moons ago that "Modern Love" was also about gay/bi love, and how it was generally not viewed as being as "real" as straight love. That may not be the whole truth of what the song is about, but it's definitely a hell of a thought. |

Erasure - "Chains of Love" (a song about singer Andy Bell's desire for gay couples to be accepted in the same way straight couples are -- in fact, Bell would later come out as gay, and the group is widely popular in the LGBT community in the U.K.)
Erasure have other LGBT-themed songs ("Sometimes" also comes to mind), but "Chains of Love" is definitely a more famous song, hence why I picked it here. |
