03.06.21 | I’ll probably add some more later but here are some slept-on gems I’m just hearing for the first time in 2021. Feel free to rec something similar or share albums you ignored for far too long |

03.06.21 | Have physical graffiti on the turntable right now getting its first proper spin. Good shit |
SlothcoreSam
03.06.21 | Snuff were one of the first live gigs I went to back in 1997! They are still going strong, but that album is probs their best.
For some older stuff, I'll just rec you 3. Let me know if you need more.
Bad Religion - Suffer (can't believe you haven't rated any BR) time for a discog run.
Operation Ivy- Energy. Or if you are using Spotify, check the compilation Operation Ivy. Then once you finish, do a Rancid discog run.
Assorted Jellybeans - What's Really Going On. It's punky Ska from 98, that is the sound of summer.

03.07.21 | Will do, thx for the rec!

03.07.21 | I just got into 1 this year as well! Never bothered with them because I was too lazy to check genre tags and just assumed it was some shitty emo metalcore band. Boy, that assumption couldn't be more off!
Another one I haven't been able to put down is The Beach Boys - The Smile Sessions. Unreleased magnum opus of 1960s pop. Forget everything you think you know about the Beach Boys - this is like Sgt Peppers but even better. It's one of those albums that transcends genre preferences. I already know you'll love it. |
Tyler.
03.07.21 | how do you go this long as a music writer/person who knows music and think that about 1 |
Demon of the Fall
03.07.21 | I really need to revisit Husker Du.
Souvlaki is excellent, Pygmalion is better. |

03.07.21 | "how do you go this long as a music writer/person who knows music and think that about 1"
It's inexcusable, really. The equivalent of judging a book by its cover. |
Pangea
03.07.21 | I definitely prefer pygmalion but i'm also not as big of a fan of souvlaki as most
cool list, always fun to check some older stuff |

03.07.21 | Look like I’ll be listening to Pygmalion this week!
@Sowing, that’s funny that we both heard Loveless for the first time this year. Too much time always chasing new releases I guess, haha. I actually slept on The Beach Boys for too long but Pet Sounds is so damn fantastic. Was pretty obsessed with it for a while. Can’t remember the Smile Sessions that well but must have heard it during by Beach Boys binge a few years back. Will have to revisit soon :] |
