| Super Mario Maker/Fall Digs
I never really had much anticipation for this game, but it's sooooo addicting. Making your own levels might sound tedious, but it's honestly pretty simple. Who else is playing this game? I have 10 levels uploaded online but need more stars in order to upload more. However, even without creating your own levels, it's still a very solid game with over 2 million levels to play online and some pretty outrageous levels made my Nintendo themselves. Anyways, list is some October digs... | 1 | | Windfaerer Tenebrosum
only 3 votes but very well done atmospheric bm | 2 | | Falls of Rauros Hail Wind and Hewn Oak
not my favorite FoR, but still great | 3 | | Addaura Burning for the Ancient | 4 | | Caladan Brood Echoes Of Battle | 5 | | Asya Sergeeva Heart of Winter
highly underrated neofolk with harp | 6 | | In Cauda Venenum In Cauda Venenum
one of the most overlooked bm releases of 2015, solid stuff | 7 | | Edward Elgar Cello Concerto in E minor, Op. 85
one of the most poignant concertos I've heard thus far, great for the fall | 8 | | Grouper Ruins
haven't grown tired of this one since it came out, but sounds best in fall/winter | 9 | | Nachtreich/Spectral Lore The Quivering Lights
highly recommended split that mixes elements of bm, folk, and classical | 10 | | The Beach Boys Pet Sounds
doesn't really have anything to do with the fall, but I recently realized how incredible this one was after watching love & mercy and binging the album for over a week...AMAZING! | 11 | | Neun Welten Destrunken | 12 | | Agalloch From Which of This Oak
my first agalloch vinyl!!!! honestly this has always been my 2nd favorite EP of theirs behind the white | 13 | | Sangre de Muerdago & Novemthree Braided Paths
one of my favorites from 2014 that I'm just now revisiting now in anticipation of sangre de muergado's new album. shoutout to bnelso55 for reminding me of this one | |

10.06.15 | for those who don't know, you can make levels in Mario maker with the original Mario style, Mario bros. 3, Super Mario World, and Super Mario Bros. U. here's to hoping they eventually add super Mario 2 level design. game is a blast | Cygnatti
10.06.15 | lol super mario bros 2 is a retconned american port from a completely different game (doki doki panic!), by all means it should be considered a spin-off of the series at best. however, the game was sweet as hell and the level designs were trippy af. also considering that the primary give away of the game was being able to play as the 3 other characters, which mario maker probs won't let you do would cause further issues...
that being said, yeah it'd be cool af to have. ^_^
i don't got this game but i play it at a friend's house occasionally and yeah it rules. | bnelso55
10.06.15 | Great list, and thanks for the shoutout! Props for 5, 7, 8, and 9. I regularly spin that Grouper record. It's one of my favorite albums to come out in recent years. | Atari
10.06.15 | cheers bnelso, and no problem! 12 wouldn't be on here if it wasn't for you as well ;) glad you're enjoying that asya sergeeva album as well, it really is beautiful
@cyg, bro you'll have to let me know if you ever get the game and I can play your levels. I actually didn't now about mario bros 2 being a port of doki doki panic, but either way that game is pretty nostalgic for me. I'd be stoked if they added Yoshi's island as a level design as well - i'll be surprised if they don't add something considering how much DLC Nintendo has had for big titles like smash bros./mario kart 8 | Cygnatti
10.06.15 | they probably will definitely do it, honestly. | JamieTwort
10.06.15 | Haven't listening to 8 in what seems like ages. Need to revisit. | ScuroFantasma
10.07.15 | That album cover for 12 | Atari
10.07.15 | ^Funny enough that cover is different than my vinyl version haha.
Sup JT hope you've been well haven't talked to u in a while | Keyblade
10.07.15 | gonna get it soon, should be really good. i've always wanted 2D sequels to smb and smb3 and now there is one (or hundreds i guess). those games were my childhood | Pangea
10.07.15 | Game is so much fun. Creating your own levels is so fucking cool | Atari
10.07.15 | hell yeah key, you won't regret it.
agreed pangea, it's really interesting to see what ideas people come up with for levels, some crazy shit that I would have never thought of. like I played a level full of mushrooms but the whole objective was to avoid the mushrooms in order to advance through the smaller spaces...if you accidentally get a mushroom you fail lol. | GreyShadow
10.07.15 | gah i own it technically but it's at my gf's house and we are both at our respective colleges and she wants to yano "hand-deliver it to me personally" which is cute and all but I want my mario maker | JamieTwort
10.07.15 | "Sup JT hope you've been well haven't talked to u in a while"
Yeah all good my end thanks, hope you're good? | Atari
10.07.15 | yeah I'm not bad can't complain, you still into photography? | JamieTwort
10.07.15 | Still into it but with a full time job it's hard to find the time to keep at it. Hope to find some more time to really get back into it soon. | Atari
10.07.15 | I know how that goes man, if you do find some time in the future I'd be curious to see some more of your work :] | JamieTwort
10.07.15 | I'll be sure to keep you posted. | Pangea
10.08.15 | @atari yeah i love creative levels like that. I saw a similair level where you can't touch stars because you had to jump over enemies to progress the level and with star you would just kill them. |
