Warped Tour 13 Recap

Summary of each band I saw from this years warped tour.
1While She Sleeps
This Is The Six

Wasn't planning on watching these dude, but I caught their last two songs and I was amazed. Words really can't express how well they played. From every aspect, While She Sleeps was on top of their game. What amazed me was their consistency each member played with, without missing a note while bringing tons of energy.
Grade: A
2SECRETS
Fragile Figures

This band was a huge surprise. Warped Tour had terrible crowds throughout the whole day but SECRETS definitely had the most energetic crowd. While the band was helping the crowd get involved by either going into the crowd multiple times to encourage them to sing along or provoking the pits to open up, they definitely have a great friendly stature.
Grade: A
3August Burns Red
Rescue and Restore

ABR brought a lot of energy like always but whenever they played some of their old tracks (Back Burner, Composure, Internal Cannon) They were a little off their game. Not sure what their problem was. But when they played their two new songs (Provision and Fault line) they totally nailed it. By hitting every note they performed those two song literally perfect. Marianas Trench and White Washed were performed pretty well too. Vocals and the guitar solos were flawless.

Fake History

Excited to see this band. They didn't live up quite to my expectations. Jason is a crazy performer but sometimes I wish he would just settle down and actually try to sing well. I would like to share a story that happen too. While they were performing "Muther" right at the very end before the jazzy "Don't you cry, momma" part, a butterfly flew on the stage and Jason grabbed it and kissed it and let it go and it flew right through the middle of the crowd, it was the most amazing/beautiful thing I have ever experienced.

5Hands Like houses
Unimagine

This band killed it. Vocals were top notch, which was something I wasn't expecting. I'm not really a fan of his singing either. The only complaint I had was when they started their set with "Watchmaker" I was planning on the breakdowns to be much energetic and heavy, it was a total dud.
Grade: B+
6Stick To Your Guns
Diamond

Caught this band unexpectedly while walking around and caught their last two songs. They sounded great and I got to hear "Amber."
Grade: B+
7Oh, Sleeper
Children Of Fire

Overall they were great. Not a huge fan of them. Sounded like I was listening to the record. Vocals were sub par.

All's Well That Ends Well

Had two friends who love this band so I caught their last two songs while trying to meet up with them. They brought a lot of energy from what I saw, but they're still very repulsive.

This Is How The Wind Shifts

I really enjoyed their latest record, actually you can say It's the only record I enjoy by them and they only played one track from it, so I was very disappointed. Their performance was actually very poor. They started off the setlist with that recurring interlude they had in their new album, which was probably their best performance, unfortunately.
Grade: C
10Sleeping With Sirens
Feel

Sleeping With Sirens releases a terrible album and then figures they need to match their live shows with that. Yes, they were horrid. I'm officially not a fan of this band anymore. I loved their second album and I saw them last year and they actually played very well but now they're just a fiasco.
Grade: F
11Never Shout Never
Sunflower

Saw this band while resting in the seats. Pretty bad stuff. Sure I enjoy maybe three songs from this band (can't stand it, cheatercheaterbestfriendeater,Your Biggest Fan) But I didn't see no difference from this band and a bunch of scene kids trying to cover one of their tracks.
Grade: F
12Attila
About That Life

I don't enjoy Attila, you can even say I dislike them but wow, they sure can put on a show. Hands down, the most energetic band of the day. Let me share another story...
Me and my friend were watching ABR and my two other friends left to watch Attila, it was the last show of the day. So after ABR was finished we left to see Attila, so we got their late and we were standing in the back and guess who was standing right beside us? The guitarist from ABR! No one noticed him at all except for us, so I started talking to him and guess what he said. "Just watching the worst band in today's Metcore." I started laughing and we had a cool conversation. He was such a chill dude.
