And before that was Canarcie
I'm a disturbed and bitter herb
Like saltwater and parsley

That's my mnemonic voice stalactite slash stalagmite

03.18.12 | I once was religious. Then I realized that it was all based on Paganism anyway. So, I figured, why follow something that was against what it preached at its foundation?
So, I found my own way. I still believe in God, and I do follow the Bible. But, I'm probably more anti-religion than nearly anyone I know. There are better ways to go about the way you believe instead of falling into one massive, lost, body of people.
It's sad, really, because religion (I feel) just kind of prays on those that are desperate for some sort of emotional comfort or purpose. Then, it asks them for money on Sundays in order to pay for their massive churches and top-quality sound systems. It's all so empty. You can get a far more spiritual experience just by sitting in the forest and thinking for long enough.
Before I left religion, I had a bad view of Atheists. Now, I honestly respect them. They're a lot more enlightened than most religious people to be honest, because they see the flaws of religion. Though, there are still those in religion who are extremely intelligent and open-minded, they just haven't investigated their own faith enough yet. I do believe that, once they do look into their faith a little more out of sheer curiosity, they will come to discover that religion is a tyrannical monster and it is not worth supporting.
Why do nearly all incredibly intelligent people leave religion? It's because they see right through it and they want more- and religion cannot provide more because it's based on man's opinion. |

Or goes trying to be offensive on purpose to religious people just because they can then whining when they feel they're being "oppressed" by people putting them down for that. |

mastille
03.18.12 | OK that part about Bach just makes no sense at all, what does religion have to do with tastes in classical music?
Y'know there are open-minded atheists that take classes on evolution in biology and religion in history classes, and they can always choose to go to church or not to. And quite a few creationists are trying to stop people from just learning the theory of evolution and making their own decisions about what they believe

"Atheists are the most close-minded persons in the world."
No more so than a lot of Christians. Here we go with sweeping generalizations again.
"This is why evolutionism CAN'T BE PROVEN"
But, it has strong scientific evidence supporting it. Extremely strong.
"because atheist scientists are too close-minded to admit there is a God"
Of course they won't admit it, because they're atheists. That's kind of their thing?
"ATHEISM ultimately is just another religion for people who believe and put their trusts in the lazyness and narrow view of some human scientists. "
Again with sweeping generalizations. Just because they're atheists doesn't mean that they are only so because of what other people tell them. They could just as easily have come to the decision themselves, through their own abstract thoughts.
Damn that was some awful logic.

03.18.12 | "The appearance of the first form of life is also a part of evolutionism. Atheists say that the first cell appeared when 250 rare proteins magically got together somewhere in the mud and they got an impulse from a lighting strike and then these proteins became a cell and it decided to multiply and create organisms."
It's not like it all happened in an instant. And there was nothing about a lighting strike. These things originated from mutations, mutations that just happened to work and allowed the organism to survive. Because that mutation created an organism more favored to survive, that organism passed on its mutations to its offspring and more favorable mutations occurred and so on and so forth. It doesn't happen in days, it happens over millions of years. Over periods of time that our minds can't comprehend.

idk if youre trolling but its actually closer to a billion and the fact that there are way over a billion planets in the universe that we know of actually points to a relative certainty that life would eventually occur. which is in turn pretty strong evidence for other life out there. i mean millions and millions of light years away but still
