energized and enjoyable tracks ever created by the band. | | 2 | Cassandra Gemini (Frances the Mute)
A 32-minute epic from Frances the Mute, it pushes the band's musicianship,
endurance and creativity into a massive, multi-faceted jam that clearly defines
their finest album. | | 3 | Goliath (The Bedlam in Goliath)
A reworked version of Omar's "Rapid Fire Tollbooth" jam, this track moves from a
jazzy mid-tempo song into a razor-sharp, rocket-fueled burst of energy. | | 4 | Vermicide (Amputechture)
One of the band's moodiest songs, "Vermicide" focuses on atmospheric guitar
sounds and Cedric's wail alongside a pounding drum smash from Jon Theodore. | | 5 | Cygnus?Vismund Cygnus (Frances the Mute)
Taking cues from a live jam from "Drunkship of Lanterns", this one burst with
in-your-face intensity before moving into a softer, smoother mood that escalated
into

With help from RHCP guitar legend John Frusciante, "Cicatriz ESP" moves with a
slick drumline from Jon Theodore and a frenzied chorus. | | 7 | Cut That City (Tremulant EP)
An absolute blitzkrieg of a track, the Tremulant EP's opener just doesn't stop
moving, with Cedric calling back to his At the Drive-in vocal days and Omar's
bizarre
guitar grooves. | | 8 | Televators (De-loused in the Comatorium)
A creepy, brooding tribute to Cedric's friend Julio Venegas, "Televators"
is a startling change of pace among its album's gatling-gun tracks, especially
with
lyrics like "the asphalt that cushioned his face." | | 9 | Dyslexicon (Noctourniquet)
From the band's final album, Noctourniquet, "Dyslexicon" stands as one of the
last
faster jams performed by the band. Among spacey effects and Cedric's snarling
chorus, the story of Solomon Grundy hasn't been told in a more ferocious way. | | 10 | Cotopaxi (Octahedron)
Among slower ballads and mid-tempo jams, the one-two-three drum opener of
"Cotopaxi" is a big shift in tone from the band's "pop" album, Octahedron. It's
