DoABarrelRoll 12.13.11	I'm playing it on an emulator, and personally I'm loving it. Sure it isn't as great as Twilight Princess, but it's still pretty great. Graphically I think the game looks pretty great, I love the blend of Twilight Princess and Windwaker. Then again, I'm not playing the ACTUAL Wii game but I am playing it with the Wii Motion plus so maybe I'm missing something, maybe I'm not.

AngelofDeath 12.13.11	I don't think it tried to hard to be anything. Twilight Princess' art style was absolutely perfect for the concept of the game, and like I said, had by far the coolest and most engrossing and captivating environments of any LoZ game.

DoABarrelRoll 12.13.11	My personal are 1. Twilight Princess 2. Ocarina of Time 3. Skyward Sword Admittedly I really enjoyed Twilight Princess because I felt like it took everything I loved from Majora's Mask (the vibe, art style, music) and perfected it. Skyward Sword is more like a Twilight Princess and Windwaker mix, and Ocarina of Time is just pure nostalgia.
AngelofDeath 12.13.11	Sure, there are plenty of similarities to draw between Twilight Princess and Ocarina of Time, but there are with any of those games. There's also a lot of key differences. It takes the graphical and technological advancements and runs with them to brilliant effect. In my personal opinion, Twilight Princess has more enchanting environments, a better story, better controls, better items/weapons, better dungeons and is just an all-around better game. When I see the Temple of Time or a really cool wide open area with a beautiful twilit sky, I think, "Hey, this is gorgeous! I love exploring and wandering through this world." When I see something in Skyward Sword, I go, "Goddamnit, did Maximilian Pegasus just use his Toon World card on me."
DoABarrelRoll 12.13.11	That being said, I feel that Majora's Mask is really underrated. Some of the best atmosphere in a video game out there.

AngelofDeath 12.13.11	Majora's Mask is great, but the fact that 90% of the gameplay is side quests and doing stuff over again hurts it quite a bit.
MO 12.13.11	^ Also the saving was just atrocious. But there was something about it I just couldn't get enough of. I guess the whole idea of a time limit and how the world was under the threat of total destruction made it fun. Also transforming and using the different masks was key.

DoABarrelRoll 12.13.11	There's no denying that it's flawed, it's very repetitive. You have no idea how many times I had to repeat a dungeon over and over again because I lost my sense of direction. Still I love the uneasy feeling the game provides, not to mention it had one of the creepiest atmospheres in almost any game I've ever played. I felt like they brought that back in Twilight Princess, but honed in on it. It's not as creepy, but it's a lot more solid in terms of gameplay.

Yazz_Flute 12.13.11	I haven't gotten Skyward Sword yet. I'm a little nervous. I bought Twilight Princess for gamecube just so I didn't have to look like an ass playing it on the wii. I don't think I could pick a favorite Zelda game. It would probably have to be Majora's Mask or Twilight Princess, because I really enjoyed the darker thematic elements they had. But I mean, basically every Zelda game after the first two have been amazing. The Oracle games are underrated and two of my favorites.

WatchItExplode 12.13.11	I don't know how far you've made it, but I feel like the environments/temples just keep getting more impressive as I go along. The second temple boss battle was on of my favorites in a Zelda game period. I think if you a wiimote+ you'd have a much different opinion of the controls. I did love Twilight Princess' creepy atmosphere though, and Midna is infinitely cooler than Fi.

feanaro 12.13.11	Dungeon design is better. Combat is better. Virtually everything is better. TP was, honestly, a retread. The dungeons weren't interesting at all until the later portion of the game and the new additions (wolf) weren't implemented well. TP just felt like they tried to remake OoT. SS is something new and unique. SS' graphics are clearly better too. A nice compromise between TP's decent-to-ugly art and WW's stunning visual style.
fsharptrit0ne 12.13.11	The way SS integrates ALL of the items you receive into the whole fucking world is incredible. The Beetle is easily the best Zelda item to be created in some time. There's a lot of subtlety in SS that wows you.

TP, in addition to having GameCube graphics, tried to go for a more realistic look which inevitably drew comparisons to what the HD consoles could do with realism. cartoony styles aren't really dependent on the console's power and can mask deficiencies quite well. w/e.

killrobotmusic 12.14.11	After beating the game, I can safely say that SS gets more fun and challenging the further into it you get. If you go into it expecting a traditional Zelda game, it may disappoint you. However, I feel that they have made sufficient enough changes to keep the franchise fresh (the upgrade system is a great example). The only qualms I have are that there seems to be a limited variety of enemies in comparison with other Zelda games, and I think there could have been more comprehensive warp system. But those are just minor qualms of an otherwise awesome game.

I'm yet to find a title where the integration of motion controllers render it unplayable, and from what I have played so far the wii has several gems buried underneath all the shovelware. BroFro 12.14.11	my thoughts, for what its worth (i only just beat the second dungeon, so i'm not that far) -controls work well enough -soundtrack is pretty annoying to be honest -the sky overworld is great, as is skyloft -the designs of dungeons (again i'm only two dungeons in) are interesting and different enough from previous Zeldas, but both the first two were wayyyyyy too short. second boss battle was awesome though -the pre-dungeon areas are the biggest departure from classic zelda level design, and i'm not sure how i feel about that yet -i think the graphics fit the atmosphere and overall feel of the game so far, but still seem a bit too cute (however, Wind Waker is my favorite Zelda game, so maybe i'm contradicting myself. whatever) so far, it's about what i expected. good, but no where near as good as OoT, WW, and TP so far

AngelofDeath 12.19.11	Well, after completely beating the game, I can say that it's overall pretty good. Still not one of the better games in the series. Definitely not better than Twilight Princess. Despite how good it gets toward the end there's still some major issues with the game: The overworld is incredibly boring. Fi (aka Captain Obvious) is annoying as fuck. Everything in the game involves going back through the same three areas. Most of the dungeons are too linear/simplistic. (Especially the first three.) The music isn’t very good, for the most part. There aren’t any cool special moves with the sword. (Also, was it really necessary to make me shake both controllers to do the stabbing move instead of just pressing A?) The dungeon boss “key” puzzles are pointless and annoying.

The combat was waaaaaaaaayyy more fun in Twilight Princess. Every monster in this fucking game is just a gimmicky test to see if you can swing the Wii remote properly. "PLEASE don't tell me that you though TP's was better. that's insanity." Nah, Twilight Princess' soundtrack was nothing special either. Like most modern games, there's less effort being put into coming up with really interesting melodies and compositions due to the improved range of sounds and increased budgets to hire full orchestras, choirs, etc.

This felt forced the way most of the monsters/bosses revolve around the same concept of blocking to force you to swing your sword a certain way. Nothing difficult about it. Really, I think this is one of the easiest games in the franchise.

TP is by far the easiest game in the franchise. SS' first boss was harder than all 4 parts of TP's final boss combined.

AngelofDeath 12.19.11	I'd still say it's the best looking one yet. Any time the game looks anything remotely resembling muddy, it's because of the haze of the twilight, which is part of the concept of the game. Besides, TP doesn't have seams and white lines/dots popping up at parts, as I recall.
