A Good Vocalist List
There are a ton of these floating around, so I figured I'd do one that ris personal. Good vocalists don't sound like other vocalists. |
1 | | Every Time I Die Last Night in Town
Keith Buckley has been the man since 1998. Skramz and cleans are all
beautifully distinguished |
2 | | SikTh The Trees Are Dead and Dried Out
Mikee Goodman mostly. I mean shit his voice is on speed. The combination
of him and Justin Hill is the greatest vocal duo of all time. |
3 | | Fair to Midland Arrows and Anchors
Darroh Sudderth sounds like 4 different vocalists. The vocal melodies on
this album speak for themselves. |
4 | | Psycroptic The Scepter of the Ancients
Matthew Chalk is my favorite death metal vocalist. The lowness of the
lows, the highness of the highs, and that bastardized belch combine to
make a three headed monster of a machine that can keep up with the crazy
tech-death stylings of Psycroptic. |
5 | | The Dillinger Escape Plan Miss Machine
Greg Puciato is the fucking man. |
6 | | Narrows Painted
Dave Verellen, of Botch fame, continues his one-of-a-kind vocal dominance
in Narrows. |
7 | | Mac Lethal The Original 11:11 Sessions
I don't always listen to hip-hop, but when I do it's usually Mac Lethal.
Style, flow, and lyrics unite to make one hell of an underrated rapper. |
8 | | Refused The Shape of Punk to Come
Dennis Lyxzen has a voice that makes me want to run into a cage fight and get my ass handed to me.
Old Your Demise and Refused are the only bands that make me want to get
into a fist fight with someone who can break my face. |
9 | | Friend For a Foe Source of Isolation
Chris Barretto, ex-Periphery and currently working in both FFAF and Ever
Forthright, sounds like Randy Blythe got vocal lessons from God.
Phenomenal dual-threat vocalist. |
10 | | Hot Water Music Caution
Chuck Ragan is the fucking man. So stoked on Exister. |
