Amon Tobin, Isam Live @ Ab, Brussels

Went to his live set yesterday, and was blown away! The visuals were absolutely stunning: the stage was an abstract construction of cubes and the images were projected onto it with a set of beamers. Tobin himself had his boot in the middle of the construction and waved from time to time to the audience. The audience itself was really good, they were cheering and partying the whole time; great atmosphere. He played most of ISAM in a 50min set and then another half hour of bis numbers. List is the highlights of the night.

Journeyman - The opener: set the mood for the rest of the night well.

ISAM

Bedtime Stories - Because of the live performance, this is now my fav of the new album. The bass was smashing on this one, even more than on the rest of the songs.

ISAM

Goto10 - By this time, I thought I was located at a dubstep party. Alot of the songs resembled dubstep in either case. But the sound was perfectely adjusted: there was a lot of bass, but the melodies were very clear also.

ISAM

Kitty Cat - This one had the best visuals, with Tobin's movements in his cabin being registrated and back-projected onto the stage.

Four Ton Mantis - The start of the encores; the roof was catapulted into the stratosphere...

? - The track after Mantis, didn't recognize it, but it was the first drum and bass/breakcore track in his set. God, I want to know what it was, because this was the best song of the set IMO.
