Album hits hard. Rarely does it leave me wanting in terms of quality. Just got back into it after release.

"Dignity" has one of the juiciest solos i've ever heard. Also the structure of that song is so damn interesting. The acoustic passage after the solo doesn't ruin the momentum of the song somehow and then the ending riff with the harmonizing vocals kicks so much ass. |
3 | | The Dear Hunter Act III: Life and Death

"The Tank" and "Mustard Gas" are songs that perfectly weave pop sensibilities with progressive tendencies that I take huge inspiration from. |
4 | | The Mars Volta The Bedlam in Goliath

Love this album to pieces. Weird and powerful. Dark and haunting. Some of my favorite drumming ever. Also Cedric is fucking nuts on this album, as far as melody choice and vocal effects go. Also them lyrics. |
5 | | Mastodon Cold Dark Place
Loving the ever living hell out of this. Also the new singles "Rufus Lives" and "Fallen Torches". All hail the 'DON. |
