1Forefather
Last of the Line

"Wyrda Gesceaft". I gave a lot of thought to my next choice. I listened to this song about 10 times before deciding this was the one. The funny thing is that I realized this song never became boring once. Then came my analyzing phase; Why is this song so effective? It's basically arranged by verse, bridge, verse, bridge ect. Then after about 3 listen's I saw the mastery of "Wyrda Gesceaft". The riffs chosen are literally perfect. The two alternate song parts are catchy and give a play on two different emotion's combating each other, yet working in synergy to prove a point. Then, I also realized as the song kept repeating verse, bridge ect., there were subtle harmonizing elements added each time, creative a progressive-like experience. Although "Wyrda Gesceaft" is probably the shortest track off Forefather's newest LP, I feel it is the most effective and most enjoyable. In fact, the rest of the album isn't that good, but "Wyrda Gesceaft" is a masterpiece.
